do you think they are using any grip aids on their hands?
and are those special shoes- to allow them to climb like that?

My boyfriend thinks that there is something on the pole and that the pole is not chrome.
He kinda pissed me off because I told him that there was probably nothing on the pole,

If that is the video I am thinking of they are working on a Chinese pole, which is covered in neoprene. There are some awesome male performers of Chinese pole

Yes that pole is not a chrome pole….its a Chinese pole and has a special covering, much different then our slick dance poles. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_santa.gif

Katana…don’t let your bf upset you …but let him know that even with the special finish on the pole that’s very difficult to do! Chinese pole does moves that probably 99% of the time cannot be done on a regular pole but still requires extreme strength and agility.

It’s like comparing silks to pole dancing…there are many similar positions but it’s two completely different art forms and being able to do one doesn’t mean you can do the other – it’s that different.

they teach salsa pole dance at a studio near my home. i might have to try it out.
