Thank you Sissy!!!! The Daredevil
Last Friday in chat Sissy told me about this move the daredevil and I said I would try it.

I’ve been spending a lot of time exploring wikipole.org lately and I saw the daredevil. Decided to try it out last night before I taught class. It was hot and super sticky last night which made it easy to hold the move. Got it on the first try. It turned out to be easier to do than I thought it would. I’m sure it will be harder when it isn’t so hot and sticky. Anyway just thought I’d share my experience.

I’m sure it will be harder when it isn’t so hot and sticky. Anyway just thought I’d share my experience.
I didn’t find too terribly difficult but I didn’t like the way it felt looking down at the ground and you have to be head first down…it made me very cautious of letting go. Sticky pole helps a lot, I’ve been doing it all over the brass poles at the studio – high humidity + brass = sticky fun.
Well done getting it first try, I had to situate myself quite a bit.

I am soo going to try and start working on this! I’m glad you were able to get it. I saw it in the Pole Dance Shop picture contest and I was stunned. I also saw another move that blew my mind away that you could probably get…..are you up for the challenge young Charley? LOL

Is it much different than the Knee Hold? (In terms of difficulty, pain, how you get into it… etc)

I found it a lot less painful then the kneehold (which I still can only endure occasionally). I’ve only done daredevil close to the ground, and got into it the same way as the kneehold. I go into it like you would a butterfly because it helps me stay facing down – which was the part that was freaking me out so bad when I was trying it.

I can’t do the splits but I know how to do it. I’ll make a tutorial when I get back to the studio on Wednesday.
