So I was really excited to get the StudioVeena pole, but it looks like my ceilings are too high. On the order form it said to select one of two possible ceiling ranges, and the highest was 9 to 10 feet. The beam in my vaulted ceilings is at 10' 10" If there is a way around this, please tell me, cuz I really wanted the Veena pole.

So now I am faced with the following dilemma: Platinum Stages versus X-Pole. (And if there are any other contenders, please let me know!) I know I'm not the first to ask.

Platinum Stages: I've never owned a PS pole. Reviews? Multi piece or Single piece?

X-Pole: I had a titanium gold XPert and a chrome X Stage Lite. The X-Stage took up way too much room in my living room, which is why I'm switching. Now that they have the new brass finish, what are your grip preferences? I really liked my TG one. Not so fond of chrome (too slippy).

Dunno if it makes a difference in terms of shipping, but I live in Georgia, USA.

    And….GO! PS vs. X-Pole, the age-old debate. =D

I have never had an xpole but I have a PS star stand alone and I really like it.  Customer service is wonderful too. Good luck!

Have a x-pole 45 and love it….my ceilings are too high too and debated between the two. Got mine thru a company that is certified thru Xpole …yes I called and checked. Saved additional 5%, every penny helps!

Platinum stages poles suck 🙁 especially the stage poles…I would stick to the xpole, I love my 45mm chrome

Lil Mynx can do custom lengths for poles, too… You could talk to Veena about it, or directly contact Lil mynx I'm sure 🙂

The removable Lil Mynx pole can only go up to ten feet.

I just heard the other day of another PS multipiece that broke in half.  It is only a few years old.  If you are going with PS get a one piece but then you are stuck with one size.  I am pretty sure it can be cut down but you cannot lengthen it (beyond the 6 or so inches standard).

I've had a 45 mm Titanium X-Sport X-Pole for 18 months now and it's perfect.  Perfect grip, perfect engineering; by that I mean it stays where it is, hasn't moved in all this time.  I've been cleaning it with Distilled White Vinegar this entire time, and it still looks like new.

The studios I go to have had either Brass or Paint Coat poles and I love my Titanium the best, I learn something new outside and when I come home, I can actually execute it.

Good luck!  (I found mine on Amazon)

Good choice! When I’m not using my SV pole I use my TG 🙂
