The BEST permanent spinning poles?
Posted by AmberJCahill on March 15, 2011 at 6:24 pmHELP! Getting ready to order some NEW poles for my studio and I was wondering if anyone had any comments regarding the permanent spinning poles. Right now I am looking at the platinum stages 14ft. permanent pole. Are there any other options? I prefer the chrome finish of our current poles but want a more secure permanent bracket for the extra tall pole. We could even go higher to 16 or 18 ft. if I could find one! Any suggestions?

Get in touch with Mary Ellyn from Empowerment Through Exotic Dance. There is a company I believe she has worked with but I am not certain of their name or if they have spin and static. I am not sure what poles Be Spun has (I assume XPole) but I believe they are close to 20 feet!

Be Spun has Xpole poles. I know on X poles website it says if your looking for serious height, contact them about pricing, reccomendations etc.
I believe the company is Markstar.

My pole is over 13 feet tall and its a 45mm x pole. Using their permanent mount allows you do add more height to your x pole.
@ Chem I was told that the Bespun poles are not X pole brand.

I've recommended MarkStaar for permanent poles but they don't offer the spinning option.
Be Spun has PS poles on their 18 foot ceiling. They have Xpoles through the rest of the studio where they have lower ceilings.
As Veena mentioned XPole has now made adaptations and when you use their ceiling adaptor you can put up higher poles. Call them and find out what they advise.
For customer service and product quality you can't beat XPole!!!

We actually have worked with Kimara at X-pole for a 16.6ft pole. It is awesome. We are using the vaulted ceiling permanent mount.

Thanks, everyone!
I have worked with Kimara on our current poles and, yes, I agree she is fantastic and we have been very happy our poles. I didn't realize the new brackets would allow for that much more height. They have more flexibility than the PS poles and I find the spinning mechanism a bit more cumbersome. Maybe we will do half in the spinning PS and the other half in stationary X Pole.
Again, thanks for the feedback!

I feel like the spinning xpole is sooooo much better than the PS spinning pole. Its much smoother and goes faster.

lizzy, it really depends on your installation. crunch and body & pole in NYC both have permanent platinum stages poles, and they spin VERY fast– and that's not just me saying that, but much more experienced spin pole dancers. i think people tend to overtighten temporary poles, so all the xpoles i've been on have been relatively slow, but they had the top dome and not the permanent top mount. i'd be curious to try one of those.

Yes, if you over tighten the x pole your spin mode will be slow. Everyone comments on how smooth and fast my x pole is, so it does have a lot to do with installation. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_heart1.gif

the only spinning PS pole I have been on was in Jamaica and that thing was wicked fast. Like spin you into oblivion fast.
interesting thread though for those that are installing poles for a new studio 🙂

I have PS spinners in my studio ~ They are really smooth and super fast… I think they're a little too fast to be honest ~ They are also VERY slippery!

I had the ps spinning poles at my old studio and they were VERY fast. You really had to be careful how you went into certain moves and at points, it felt uncontrollable.
I have only tried the xstage for spin and I liked it. I assumed that the spin slowed as you climbed because of the free standing pole- the sway disrupts the pole spinning smoothly.
Id be interested to hear from someone who has tried both ps and xpole spinning at at least 12 feet.

I’m probably gonna move soon & I’m getting taller ceilings FOR SURE!!! Going to look at a place tomorrow where I could have a 20ft pole 😀
so… Where do I find a safe pole that is 20 ft? Also wondering how to install one that tall?
