The new 2014 Xpoles – what is the difference?
Posted by Pinkie Pip on January 6, 2015 at 3:43 amI’m looking to buy a 45mm as I feel I now have better hand grip on, after a year of having my 50mm. I notice they have a new version but I cant see the differences.
Also – is the base of the Xperts smaller than the sport?

My new xpole had bigger screws compared to the model I had the year before. For me I like the larger screws so much better. I think there may have been a small difference in the grove when the pole A aND B go together, but that I’m not 100% sure on.

The new one has larger screws and a different base that so far ( 2 months in) is avoiding the sliding on static problem.
I do find that it is much less spinny. I mean almost no spin. Does anyone else have this problem?

Mine is nice and spinny! Sometimes a little too much – but I am a long time static user and am too used to throwing my body into spins…. way too much momentum for spinny poles.

If you expand the adjuster too much there will be less spin. You might have it too tight to your ceiling.

Swilks – the base of the XPERT is smaller than the SPORT. There have been a number of changes to the 2014 X-POLE models. The first is a change in design of the X-JOINT which connects the A & B poles together. The 2014 version has a revised adjuster cover, which is fixed as well as an ‘Adjuster Line’ to illustrate how much adjuster has been used. As mentioned in the thread above, the screw sizes have been increased and the packaging is also different, ensuring better transit of the product. Our sales team at the X-POLE offices would be happy to talk through all the changes and the implications of such alterations – please feel free to give us a call on 020 8449 4400. If anyone is experiencing any issues with the rate of spin on their poles, please give us a call and speak to our technical team, as more than likely, this is due to over-tightening of the pole.
Thank you.

Thanks all. Last night i decided to buy a new 45mm sport over an xpert in the end. Looking forward to it!

I had the Xpole sport and I really liked it.. but after a while I wanted spin mode, so I upgraded to the Xpert.
I did like that the sport was super solid though and you don’t have to worry so much about the over tightening thing.
