Thoughts on the Valentino Brothers DVDSPosted by PersianXcursian on April 24, 2012 at 5:24 pmI was looking into DVD systems for stretching now that I'm getting my own pole and I stumbled upon the Valentino Brothers DVDs. One focuses on front splits and the spine while the other focuses on Side splits and joints. Has anyone done these DVDs before and if so what did you think of them? They are good stretches but their cues on it suck. I find Alethea's dvd's as well are very good but they suck for cueing you. i.e. your holding a pose or something and when you look at the dvd they are onto something else. To be aka "instructor' of that caliber you need to cue your invisible audience, count, hold , count 2 more and release type thing. Perhaps I am harsh but disappointed at the dvd's.

My dance teacher is going to lend me one of Alethea's dvds but I'm looking into these as well cuz they are so affordable.

If you are thinking about Veena's lessons at all they include a whole section on stretching that have been very successful for many people. In this way you are combining your pole lessons and stretching lessons together. Not only that but with Veena's lessons you also get chair instruction and hooping instruction. Its a very complete resource.

I agree with webmaster if you have Veenas lessons there is no need for others DVD, however i do have Valentino stretch DVD and they make a nice change as i get sick of the same routine quickly, they use a stop watch which goes off so you know when to change and their explanation is very good, i also have Altheas and have found her cues not as good however i believe the most advancement has come from Veenas and Altheas stretch routine.:)

I don't know which Valentino's DVD you have but I have the first two and so, thinking they may have improved.
