I wish i knew the answer… i tried the move last month and it totally ruined my inner thigh… for 2 weeks i couldn't even do a pole sit.. and it still hurts a little bit when i practice too long… i dont know what happened, i'm sure i did something wrong, but i'm not in a worry to try again any time soon.. Venna, if you're reading this… a lesson on that would be great 😉

It's painful for me right now because I can't seem to put my crotch in the right place!  Do you have any tips on it, Veena?

I have only done it a few times, it was a while ago…let me think…..well I think my top hand was up nice and high and so my torso was a bit more upright than normal, in my superman. The pole was not near the crotch I do my superman farther down the thigh. It was more about using the bent leg and locking it against the pole so you can stay upright. You'll need shoulder, back, hip flexor and quad flexibility for this one….I'll have to try it again sometime to really be of much help. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif

Alethea taught this in her masters workshop at Poletential last weekend.

From the superman, you bend the knee and grab the opposite foot of your free hand. Your free/straight leg has to point WAY down at the floor–pretty much vertical. You press the calf of the bent leg against the pole, pull it into the pole with your hand, and let go with the hand that was the top hand in your superman.

The only place it really hurts is on that calf. If you point your free leg down you get away from your lady business. Alethea said when she first did this, she just let go and dropped into it, and thought she fractured her vagina! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_surprised.gifSo, move into it slowly.

    Hope this helps.

Thank you!  I was pointing my free leg down, but apparently I wasn't pointing it down enough!  I can see how this would give more of a thigh grip and prevent any fracturing of the lady business 🙂  What a pretty looking move, can't wait to get it worked out!

Maybe this will be a future video lesson?  🙂  I love to see the trends in pole moves that sweep through the community.  This one seems to be pretty popular right now, along with the Rainbow Marchenko!

    No problem!

Rebecca Starr and I chatted about rainbow Marchenko. She said as hard as it is, what's even harder is getting into it! Can't even freaking imagine….https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_eek.gif

I don't think I'll be worrying about the rainbow marchenko anytime soon.  I'm still an inch away from floor splits, much less anything else!
