Hello everyone! Okay, so I'm trying to practice the superman from on the ground first and the one thing I can't seem to slip away from is my butt is always in the air and my legs are pointed downward.  How to I get the smooth lines with my buttt and my legs level pointed straight. Is there a trick or tips to get my butt to drop and not point up in the air?  Please help me out! Thank you 😛  🙂

are you initiating the move with the gripping hand too high? it may be helpful to grip the pole at about chest level, not eye level. its kinda scary, btw.

drop your hips! It feels a little scary when you first try, but loosen your thigh hold a teensy bit and thrust your hips forward and you will drop down

EEk!! Thank you… Yeah my arms are up high at eye level. I will have to grip my hand lower. I then can  try dropping my hips, it seems like it will be very scary like you guys said *sigh*  oh my. lol Thanks ladies….

Work it from a plank on the ground first.  Go into plank position then raise your legs to the pole, get your grip then reach around with one arm then lift the other.  This way if you do slip you are only inches from the ground.  Plus it is GREAT conditioning.

Play around with ways to get into it. I tried Side-V, from the ground, planks, and more. Finally I got it starting with the Tammy.

I agree with Chem here, work on it from the plank on the floor first, then once you get to doing it from up the pole, I find it easiest from a side climb, you can see my video here https://www.studioveena.com/videos/view/5079bd2c-9ab4-4daf-8045-38d10ac37250 you could forget the side climb at first and get into the 'bow and arrow' position at 00:07 from the floor and work on it from there, hope this helps x

This move is a little monkey, I still cant get it consistently on a 50mm only on a 45mm – annoying!

Once you get the strength to doit up the pole try it from pike-bomb-superman. I just learned this combo and found it easier and less scary than from side v. I’ve posted a video of me doing it. I always feel like I need a spotter when I do it from side v. Lol
