@hml888:  LoL, no no.  Sorry to scare you!  I just thought it was really cool.  Yeah, it's a great studio.  If you are ever looking for studio in Van, I recommend it!

I've never gone into Titanic from superman. I always scissor into it the way Charley talks about. Originally, I did this move on the floor with both feet behind the pole, which I now call "grounded Titanic". Once I mastered that, I decided to take it up the pole, "aerial Titanic".

If you have a flexible back, it is much easier to hold the pose with the additional grip that the neck provides. But it does take a bit of back flexibility. If you find that you lose your thigh grip when trying to get your neck to the pole, it is most likely that you lack the flexibility to make that deep arc with your back. If you do have the flexibility, be sure to place your head on the same side of the pole as the gripped foot. The head and rear leg should be pressing against the pole in opposition.

It takes less flexibility if you keep both feet behind the pole. When doing this version, it's easier if you keep the legs scissored, rather than side by side. Be sure to place your head on the same side of the pole as the lower leg. The head presses against one side of the pole and the higher leg crosses other the other side, again creating opposing pressure on the pole to secure your grip. This is the easiest and prettiest way if you want to wear shoes.

With the foot on the pole, you don't need the neck if you can get a good enough grip. But what this takes is back strength. You have to be able to hold your torso up against gravity so that you don't fall forward. Be sure to keep your butt twerked back and upward, torso up and shoulders back.

It's hard to explain in just words, but I hope this helps. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

brilliant tips phoenix!! I always got told that the 'real' titanic was with the foot on the pole but it's good to know there's different ways to do it 🙂

@phoenix krazee – thank you so much for your reply and the tips!! It's such a pretty and impressive trick so I am determined to get it.

It seems like my 'sort of bendy' back is letting me down with the foot on pole version as I think the motion of arcing my back is causing the pole to pop loose from between my thighs!  However, trying the both feet off the pole, there is less pressure on my back and I am able to hold it for a milisecond or two 😀

I've never thought of trying it on the floor first but will certainly do that as it's less scary if you do slip! 🙂 xxx

have you cracked it yet. I find my left leg goes to side of pole and other bk the pole goes not far above the knee on the bk leg if that makes sense xxx

I finally managed to get this one today, even if only because it's ridiculously humid at the moment!  No foot but with the neck hold.  Shocked myself.  Pretty sure I'll only have it on days that my skin is being pulled off by the pole, though! 😉

I can do it on my 45 with my foot.. I could do it on the 50 without. MUCH easier for me on a larger pole 🙂

Hmm…haven't tried it on a 50mm yet.  I may have to give that a shot.

For sure, give it a go on the 50. You may be surprised. I agree with your earlier post though I have to be a bit sweaty OR it be humid out to really nail this. Good luck!

I finally got this move down today!!! I did what Phoenix Kazree said she did, and got a feel for it on the ground first. Then I was able to get into it from Superman. I found that i really had to push into the pole with my foot a lot more than i originally thought and arch my back up less than i originally thought. What I found that I was doing wrong before was arching my back too much, so I ended up being parallel with the pole, and that’s why I was slipping.

    Hi Ladies,

I decided to give it a break since my last post and come back to it with a fresh head and got it! But for only about 2 seconds before I started to slide down. Here's my first half fluked attempt, I know my arms look really tense, always is when attempting something new! 🙂

I found like @SharkyHill I had to really push into my pole with my foot and also getting the pole deep into the between the shoulder and neck and pushing against it!

I'm going to try another three times as it's not official until you can do it three times 😛

I do my titanic on a 40mm pole and speaking it of the Titanic, the film is actually on tv!

Your pole is not between the shoulder of the foot that you are using to rest on the pole. Have you tried switching shoulders to make it the same? It seems to work for a lot of girls.:)

Hi @CapFeb, yeah I tried the other shoulder for a long time but no avail – it seems this shoulder works for me…
