Hi, I’m also wondering which one to get and I’d like to know your opinion !
I’ve only tried chrome but I’m not convinced at all so I’m also hesitating between brass or Tgold.
I live in Paris, I guess the air here is a little dry, especially in my room, but I don’t know if it’s the same in summer. And concerning my body condition, I do sweat really really fast, because of the stress of new moves or simply and mostly because of the exercise and the heat. I’ve heard brass would be a better choice for me and the sweat issue but is it really worth the price ? I’m kind of a beginner/intermediate, I’m pretty sure I will continue this sport for a long time but I don’t know if I should add about 100$ for a brass pole.
Thank you for your future answers and sorry if I made few mistakes, my English is not perfect yet. -
Hi Juliet. Unfortunately I have still not had the opportunity to try a Titanium Gold pole so i have no way of knowing if I might like it better, but i ended up getting the brass Xpole and I love it. It’s infinitely better than the chrome pole I used to have, at least for me personally. I have dry skin but also tend to sweat really easily once i get going. I found that the brass gave me good grip in both conditions. I will say that at times it verges on almost too grippy, but i tend to do more static moves rather than drops or spins so it hasn’t really been a problem for me. Also, you definitely need to be more vigilant about keeping the brass pole clean and polished compared to a chrome pole. Overall I’m very happy that I decided to go with the brass pole and it suits my needs and body chemistry well. But everyone is different so it’s hard to predict if it will be good for you too. If you haven’t had a chance to try a brass pole and don’t have access to one, I would suggest at least going to a hardware store that sells copper piping and handling it to see if you like how it feels. (i know it sounds weird, but it will give you an idea of the grip/ texture). Hope this helps and good luck with your search!

I have very dry skin, live in a dry climate, and (right now) it’s very cold. I got the titanium gold x-pole and was pleasantly surprised with how much grip I had on it. I have never tried brass but I am very happy with the TG. It looks beautiful as well 🙂

Edit: Oops! That was supposed to say brass piping (obviously). Many hardware stores sell brass tubing for plumbing/ framing purposes. Keep in mind that the brass Xpole has a polished finish, but it always helps to have an approximate real-life reference.

it’s hard to say how you will react to either. For me, I can sweat more on brass and still stick than I can on TG. I feel like TG is more solid, so it doesn’t work with sweat as well as brass does. It’s grip all other times is good. It’s never been too grippy for me, while brass has been.

Thank you all for your great answers, I think I will make this little effort on the price and get the brass pole ! I’ll tell you my opinion as soon as it arrives !

Hello, pole lovers. I am new on Veena’s, i have a quick question since i found this topic which pole to chose between Brass and TG. I intend to order two brass and two TG since everybody says opinion and experiences about it .and it feels different on every skin and of course the skin chemistry is important. Would i make a mistake by getting two brass and two TG just in case if TG isnt as good or in that case the brass doesnt feel right orrrrrrrr to go straight with one of them and buy 4 of it?
Thank you in advance,
P.S Pls. write me on crazy_mami@abv.bg just in case i don’t get to see if any replies.

Why do you need 4 poles? If it’s for a studio it might be nice to have a variety! So 2 brass and two TG would be a good option! ðŸ˜Å

Thank you Veena for your answer. Yes maám they are for a studid and i’ve been reading careflly this post one by one and some other posts on your blog and i came to conclussion that it might be just right if i dont bumb my head on the wall and just go straight and order two Brass and two TG. Acording to your answer it encouraged me more now so i will go ahead and mix it up. If you have other advices please let me know , beacuse i am new in opening this studio and i would love to get the right advices from the right people. Thank you!!

What’s the length of the A and B parts of the xpert pole? Aerialgypsy mentioned this as a clever idea to replace the existing pole material. This way only those parts can be bought .
