    Hello everybody!

First of all, I apologize for my bad english. It´s not my native language and I'm really struggling to write it properly. I searched this topic in the forum and I didn't found what I was looking for, but if there's already a thread please feel free to put a link and I'll ask everything there.

I've recently opened a pole studio with 3 friends. Now that we finally have our own place to pole I'd really like to host some polers that are coming to the city, but I have now idea how to organize them.

We are not trying to make any money from the workshops, we just want to give our students the opportunity to meet and learn from some amazing dancers.

I have a few questions regarding this, and I'd love to have some feedback from you, experienced hosters!

    1. How do you contact the dancer? Do yo talk directly to her/him or some manager? Is facebook a viable way to make contact or is it too casual?

    2. Is there a minimum number of people who should take the workshop? We'd like to keep it as our lessons: personalized and reduced. Is that possible? We were thinking of, I don't know, maybe 6 students per class.

    3. Is it possible to host someone that has already signed with another studio? I remember reading something about some "exclusive contract". We don't want to "own" the poler, just take a few classes with her/him https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

    4. Do we have to take care of the trip and acommodation? Or the pole dancers are just touring around the world with their tickets and stuff?

I have more questions, but I think this is the basic I need to know. I would appreciate any kind of information, we are totally newbies in this and any information will help us. Thank you in advanced!

Oh, and also… if Hanka or Phoenix are reading this… please, come to Buenos Aires! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_heart1.gif

As a touring instructor– here's my thoughts 🙂

Go to the person's facebook that you want to host. See if they list an emai laddess and contact them via email and facebook- I find I am overwhelmed by messages on facebook and it's very hard to keep track of– I prefer email personally but if you do both it's safest. If they have a manager they will let you know to contact them. Different instructors have their own minimums and requirements for workshops and if you lower the number of students that can take it, the instructor can probably be flexible but then you will probably be paying more per person and/or need to guarantee more workshops/privates, etc. contact the people who you want to host and see what their terms are, everyone is different! Good luck!

Hi Phoenix! You're one of my favourite performers, your choreographies are always the most creative and beautiful. I'd love to be able to take a workshop with you.

I have another concern about the workshops. Are they always for advanced students? Most of our girls are beginners or intermediate but I know they'd really love to take them.

I took a workshop with Phoenix here in sac and she was very attentive to everyone’s levels of pole. She was very good at adjusting the moves and breaking them down. I was not as advanced as a couple other girls in there but it didn’t matter, she took the time to help us all no matter where we were at. Got my first Allegra with her 🙂 a lot of bruises and very sore but very worth it 🙂 good luck!!

    Thank you, polewalker!

That's what we want, all-level workshops! I imagine that it must be really hard to handle all level students, but we could set up one only for intermediates. I was afraid that workshops would be only "badass signature tricks", i never took one so I'm just guessing.

    Thank you Polewalker916 https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

PoleJuli, I can cater a workshop to any level pole dancer. It's easier if most of the participants are al the same level, but if not, I can still work with everyone. The class won't flow as well, because it's like teaching two classes at the same time, but it is possible.

Phoenix, is there a way to formally contact you? I`d been talking to my partners and we'd LOVE to have you with us next year 😀
