    Hey everyone,

So I’ve been using the aletheas Austin splits DVD and she mentioned if you train for “over splits” it will be easier going into your regular splits. Can anyone tell me please what that is or have a link to a video that explains it? Thanks

Oversplits are where your hips drop lower than your legs which helps to get your split flatter. To train an oversplit I like to use a yoga block but you can use anything you have. I put the block underneath my front foot and lower myself into the splits. You have to be ever so careful though as if you go too far too fast it can really damage your muscles, just as regular splits can. I would recommend only starting to train your oversplit when you are very close to having a regular flat split. I have no idea if this helps at all! Haha.
