So,I recently watched a video of myself in my current routine and need some help! I need to transition from the spin pole to the static pole and I’m not loving my backwards shoulder roll to get there. I’m not a fan of just “walking” because the judges aren’t either LOL. I don’t care if it’s floor work or standing, I just need a transition that has flow and grace for a basically slow and dramatic song. I know it’s a lot to ask but I know this is THE place to ask it! Any suggestions will be very much appreciated!

Can you do a forward shoulder roll? I find them easier than backwards shoulder roll and you can arch up (what we call a “trucker girl” in our studio) into a pretty pose. 🙂

I actually find the forward shoulder roll to be more difficult. Go figure. I know what you mean about that pose at the end (we call that a Rising Goddess here) and it would be pretty. I will work on it today and see where it gets me.

Cat crawl, boot scoot, diamond roll, cartwheel, handstand to bridge or splits, splits roll, walking splits, floor body rolls. Not as a combo, lol, just lots of transitional ideas. It’s hard to be specific without knowing the music, how much time you have, your level, your style etc. but I hope that helps a little. ☺
