I’ve finally got an X-Pole. I had it delivered in England and must now fly back to Turkey with it.
I’ve packed it into its two carry cases and will need to check it in as luggage. Any experiences or suggestions on how to travel with pole!! Should I wrap bubble wrap around the main case that has the poles in it?
    Thanks.

Can you contact x pole for advice?
If me, I’d put it in a light but solid shell wheeled suitcase, bubble wrap the pole and dome inside their cases, then pack styrofoam or similar super-light packaging material around it tightly so it doesn’t move inside. And suck up an extra baggage charge.

Having seen baggage handlers fling stuff about I wouldn’t check it in just in its case: a damaged pole is a dangerous pole.

Thanks – I’ve put it in the x-pole carry case with its pockets. I’ll bubble wrap the outside and hope that will protect it. Good luck to them flinging the poles around! ;). I’ll definitely wrap the dome inside the carry case and also the exterior of the case.
I suspect it might not get on the connecting flight once I arrive in Istanbul. I’ve had trouble going through this airport before when connections have been tight. They usually deliver the following day in that case.
Hoping and praying for a smooth experience. My pole is traveling to Turkey!
