  • Trying to convince my mom to try poling

So my mom is about my height (5'2"), but is a little overweight. I think she is around 200 lbs, and she definately wants to lost weight. Her upper body is super weak. I keep telling her that I will give her my extra pole if she'll try it. Are there any videos of bigger girls dancing that I can refer her to to try to convince her to try poling? Also, videos of older women poling? Her excuse is always "I'm too fat" or "I'm too old."

Never too old…never too big! I wish I had footage of a few of my clients…One if which–is 330lbs…

There are several on these boards that are beautiful bigger woman!!! They ROCK the pole like no one's business man!!!

If you view the video gallery………you will find tons of inspiration for her!!

Tell her to join this site! She can come and feel the love we all share!

From beginners to advanced…..from short to tall…..from small to big…..from young to old~~~NONE of it matters here! We all encourage, support and help each other.

Go back MANY pages of Veenas videos.  There is one video that was so inspirational to me.  Some woman who was trying out for some pole competition.  She was quite heavy, but boy was she graceful and the things she could do on that pole.  I should have saved it to my favorites.  Many heavier women pole and are awesome.  God made us in all shapes and sizes and if we all like to play on a pole, good for all of us!  🙂

Good searching for some of those videos…..All ages, all sizes, all have one thing in common.

I've seen LoneStarDiva around here, she says "too old" is not an excuse lol. I also have seen a few bigger girls around here that are great. Tiger Adams has some beautiful pictures I just saw yesterday.  My mom wouldn't even consider getting on a pole I don't think. This was a very interesting blog here: https://www.studioveena.com/blogs/view/The_Beauty__Challenges_of_Plus_Sized_Polers_20110425110713

It sounds like I'm about the same size as your mom.  I'm 5'2 and about 185 lbs now.  I have been 200 lbs before.  I have some videos posted on this site.

I'm trying to get her to create an account on this site so she can see the variety of women who do it. We'll see what happens.

My mom, won't try it either.  Neither will my MIL, no matter what I say.  https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif  I just want someone to play with…

Minicoopergirl.  She is an inspriation to MANY.

Also search MidwestPoleDancing on youtube.  Mary Ellyn had a few instructors that are not a size 2 that ROCK the pole.  Even Lo Martin from Michigan is an inspriation to me (she is in the Detroit videos).  She is over 6' and not a small girl and she totally kills it.
