Twisted? Split? Bracket? Confused!
I spent the first year of my pole journey in a studio. Then the studio closed and since then I’ve been poling almost exclusively at home. I’m at the point where I am doing extended butterflies and starting ayeshas, and I realized that I have no idea about grips. I’ve always just done it one way. Now I’m scared that I’ve doing the twisted grip which I’ve read isn’t really that safe, especially for beginners. Can someone explain (preferably with pictures!) the difference? As in how it looks when you’re upside down in a en extended butterfly or Ayesha or something similar — not how it looks on the ground prior to a handspring? Or can I upload a photo of me in one of those moves and someone can tell me what grip I’m used? THANK YOU 🙂
