I can't find the vid is it on youtube?? It sounds like the Rondebaut spin. i tried it last night scary but i managed it, needs work though, and yeh you need to have your hand low on the pole to avoid hitting your head.

Sorry just found the link, it is the same as I tried last night but heaps prettier.

Yes, there is a link in the first post of this thread. Sounds great that you succeeded with this move. It would be interesting for me to see you do it, so in case you'll upload some time I won't miss it since I subbed to your channel:).

You make that look so easy and graceful!! Love it! 🙂

I really think this is one of those moves which HAS to be done on static. I would personally not be able to handle the additional momentum coming from the spinning pole, it seems dangerous and I have not tried it.
Do you use a pole which can not be set on static mode or are you just curioushttps://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif?

Heres the same move but you place one hand on the floor, I guess its a safer way to introduce yourselves to this move and to help build up confidence: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bvk_p4jHyv4

Thank you for this tutorial Lina. You do the move so effortlessly. I'm working on the roundabout now but I don't find it as simple as it looks lol

I noticed after the somersault you had such good momentum and went around the pole a few more times, that it made me wonder if you were on spin (which seems crazy to me) . I've been working on this on static, but it really hurts my wrist so I do not play with it much.

@ scarlet thunder- I've seen that spin before and its actually different than the round about. You are in the same grip, but that "sweeping leg" really changes things. My friend does the spin on the video you posted and we were playing with it to build up to the somersault and came to the realization it is not the same movement minus the hand.
if you want to use that spin to build up I think it could work. For the somersault there is more of a jump and that leg will be different. if you already got the somersault from this, let me know – maybe we've been breaking it down incorrectly and I would love to hear how you made it work.

In case you guys would like to see, here is a clip I found on youtube with more examples of the roundabout.

@Cherished: Thanks to U, the pleasure is on my side:).
@PlatinumATL: I understand what you mean. I do actually get quite a good momentum in the spin. Regarding the Roundabout it may not be a suitable approach to everyone, we are all different. But at the moment I personally don't know what could work better as conditioning. Be careful with your wrist in any case!

Vid quality is crappy and this is only my second time really doing this so it's not perfect but you can kinda get the idea. http://youtu.be/DX2-T32nXuw
