A warm coat, could be freezing.
It most likely will be. I live further upstate in NY and temps have been in the 30s for the last few days, so I don’t imagine it will change dramatically in the next 3 weeks. We don’t usually see light jacket-type weather until April at the earliest.

The StudioX (jpa) Gals will be with Poletential too!! WOOOT! I know heather is like SUPER stoked about going =) its all she talks about ^^ This will be my first time ever in NY soo freakin nervous! lol <3

And as for shopping, a few tips for you:
Comfy shoes. You’re gonna walk your ass off.
A warm coat, could be freezing.
A bag to carry your heels and pole clothes in for workshops. We got Poletential backpacks last year and they were perfect.

Yes, I meant getting from place to place. For healthy people (provided it isn’t -30 and snowing), walking is a great way to cover most of the city. We’re staying about 16 blocks from the NYPD studio for example, so will likely walk to and from workshops.
There’s always subway, but still walking a bit to get to and from stops.
For you, I’d plan on taking a lot of taxis door to door. As amyxshi said, driving is essentially not an option.

hi! totally new to all these festivities going on< never been to New York either, would any of you be able to recommend a hotel to stay at? I am hoping someone can give me some ideas, for I do not have a clue about any places around that area to stay at. I am traveling with the hubby. I don’t have the addresses right in front of me, but everything was 5 miles or less from our hotel, so… you might want to head straight out just to be safe.
And it looks like us roommies are all going to the same workshop for Veena! (Wait – did Kari sign up for it?? She said she was thinking about it… Oh, Kari!)
