I'm a big fan of the epilator.  It works super well and I think it hurts more the first time around because you're kind of anticipating the worst.  The hair grows back finer so that's always a plus.  Just remember not to do it a week or during your period as you are most sensitive during that time, so it will hurt a whole lot more!

@Lyme – for your lady parts, a regular epilator may be a bit too big for your bikini area (if you want a bikini or an extended one), so I would recommend getting a smaller one made specifically for that purpose.  I have one and it's by Philips, Bikini Perfect.  It's got many interchangeable heads for different purposes.  It's really a swiss-knife of a tool.  You can use it to shave, trim and epilate.  If you wanted to go full Brazilian, I would really recommend a bit of a trim before epilating, because if the hairs are too long, it the epilator may just tug and pull hair without actually removing the entire hair along with it's root.  This hurts like a #$&@%
