Hi everyone, looking for some advice on uploading videos to youtube.  We had an open house at our studio last night and I recorded all the performances for everyone.  I tried to upload them onto youtube and I'm getting the "content ID" message as well as being asked to acknowledge third party content because of the audio in the videos.  Has anyone experienced this? I'm wondering how anyone will be able to post any videos to youtube using mainstream music if this is happening. Any info would be appreciated.

    Thanks!!!

Hi jbcabby, this was dicussed very recently in this thread: https://www.studioveena.com/forums/view/524bd17f-ab84-49f8-8835-44900ac37250

This is a problem that annoys us all who upload vids on youtube and no one has yet been able to deliver the ultimate solution…but have a look and you can at least get some more insights!

I have found a way. Tad naughty but it works. Find cover versions or remixes on YouTube and use them. Pref ones wil lower views. As YouTube has a system automatically picking up copyright music. Or go onto jamendo website. It’s people uploading copyright free stuff (conditions vary to each track/artist) hope this helps 🙂 xx

Thanks so much Lina.  It's awesome to get a response from such a youtube veteran!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif I've been watching your videos since I started poling.  I've been researching this topic non-stop to figure this all out since I don't want the videos to get taken down.  I'll post my findings on the thread you linked.

@ jbcabby: You're welcome! I appreciate that you're following me on youtube :). I hope one day it will at least be possible to search and know beforehand which songs will give a copyright problem and where they'll be blocked (country or/and mobile devices).

@megansmith29: I've also been without problems when I've used covers I think, but I wasn't sure that meant it would always be safe. Do you know that this always works?
