Veena Pole squeaks!
Posted by Runemist34 on September 15, 2013 at 10:15 pmHey, just curious…
Anyone have some fixes for my pole squeaking when it's in spin mode? It only squeaked a little bit, on one part of the spin… but now it's just squeaking the whole way 'round. Sometimes it honks, too. But y'know.
Help?

Seems to be a common theme with this pole. Mine does the same thing and I know of at least 2 others that have the same issue. I think someone suggested some kind of oil or grease, but I haven't gone so far as to pursue it. Maybe someone will be kind enough to post a remedy!

It's how they are, there's nothing wrong with it. You can contanct Lil mynx if you want to see what they suggest.

Hi. Mine does it too. Rather loud at times….I luv the pole, though. It’s also slower spinning than my xpole. The grip makes up for it though, and a little music is all the fix I need. 😉

I WD40d my LM pole, but was told that was bad, I should have used liquid graphite.

As long as it's not a balance problem and it's not somehow damaged, it's fine 🙂 I'm pretty good at ignoring sounds like that, and the squeaking doesn't detract from my fondness for it!

Agreed! The sound is usually buffered by my music. It doesn't take away from the awesomeness at all!

I find spin mode to be challenging on this pole. It loosens the mount and becomes very unstable. I may have to invest in an xpole.

Have you contacted Lil mynx about your problem Oak? I don’t have that issue with mine at all.

I contacted Lil Mynx and they said to spray liquid graphite at the top of the pole. It took a few days (I may have been a little conservative with the spray) but finally the squeak disappeared and all is well.

I think its my ceiling, cuz I had it in two different rooms and it does this..may also be my weight cuz Im no skinny minny…Ive since just submitted to the idea of getting an xpole. Ill still use the veena pole for static training.

Oakmama, the mount should not be coming loose on spin mode. A couple of things to check… Never adjust the pole while it is seated on the mount. All height adjustments should be made before you put the pole up. Second, are you sure that the hole for the screw was drilled deep enough? The mount itself should never turn. It should be tight against the ceiling. We always want you to be happy with your purchase. It is always best to give us a call with any problems so we can resolve any issues in a timely manner.

Hi. Curious where to buy liquid graphite and the cost. Did it help the pole to spin better/smoother or did it just soften the squeaks? Thanks!
