when my shoes begin to wear in patches I use matching nail polish rather than a sharpie because it is shiny and also quite durable. I use it on the heels if they get scratched up too.

I have on occasion dressed up my clear heels for special days with metallic stickers. I did them with pots of gold and 4 leaf clovers for st patricks once, kind of fun because you can peel them off and then put something else on or just wear them clear.

duh just watched it and my last statement was pretty silly……lol
neat idea veena, might have to play with that for some fun shoes to match outfits!

Thxs Veena, I really enjoyed the video. I have some heels that can use some pretty shiny designs. What a great idea to be able TRULY design one's own costumes from the outfit to the shoes.

What a great idea, now I'm not so bummed I couldn't get Pleaser's 'Treasure Chest' heel to glam up and instead had to settle for regular clear platforms. I think this is just as cool.

Heey, this is an awesome idea! However, I have a little question…
I've got some awesome shoes, but unfortunately the ankle part is too loose (I've got little ankles, compared to the size of my feet) and the ankle strap is either clear plastic, or there's some elastic part where the buckle is. Any thoughts toward making that a little smaller, so I can wear my huge, awesome shoes?

runemist you can just punch a hole through the clear plastic. I have done that with most of my heels.

THANK YOU, VEENA! I https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_heart1.gif you! This tutorial is great, I'm SO going to try this!!

Hi V!
You are so darn creative! Love it! Would it be possible to upload that video here? It would help the affilliates promote this site. 🙂

bought everything to revamp my heels tonight! I had a hard time finding the sticky back paper. I found 3 colors and I didnt want to do any of them.

So I had another idea for covering your heels! This time I wanted to do heel slides and such without scratching my floor or my heels. I came up with the idea to use fabric or craft felt! I used a furry type of fabric to cover just the lower half of my OLD heels, this way I don’t scuff up my good ones and I won’t scratch up my floors either. I did a scope while working on them if you want to see. The idea is pretty much the same as the video for the shiny heels but I had to trace then cut out the fabric instead of using an craft knife. Anyway, I hope someone finds this helpful!!
