Sounds interesting. I hope it highlights athleticism and not sleaziness. And I hope there are men on it too. That would be pretty cool and different!

I’m guessing it will be all about the sexual part of pole, I don’t know that they would get as many viewers if it wasn’t portrayed as all about sex. America is funny that way, we act all horrified by sexuality and the media thrives off of sex. Crap–I LIVE in Vegas and didn’t know about this! Actually I heard about it through the grapevine but didn’t know it was a competition and that I could go and see it. Hey, MrsWildCard, if you’re going, give me a shout and maybe we can meet up. I’m teaching until 2 but hope to swing by and see the craziness. This should be very interesting, to say the least!

JC–you are so sweet…and CRAZY. Um, er, I am the girl who has been an active member of this forum since the beginning, and have only recently gotten the courage to put up a video…and I consider this a safe place and all of you my friends! My self-esteem isn’t exactly what you’d call…healthy! Besides, I’ve seen some mind-blowing, out-of-this-world, jaw-dropping "amateur" dancers here in Vegas. If I think of them as gorgeous permanent brass poles (sigh), I’d consider myself a Carmen Electra pole!
