I’ve got a Flip Mino HD and the video files are so large I’m having trouble working w/them. I can’t even upload to youtube. I don’t mind saving them down to SD rather than HD, but HOW? Does anyone know an easy way to reduce file size, and/or what is a good standard size/file type for uploading to SV, youtube, etc.? I have a MAC and iMovie HD. Thank you!!

The Flip includes a piece of software that will allow you to save the videos down to a smaller size. That’s probably the easiest way.

There is a free program called virtual dub that is REALLY EASY to use. I have the directions at home but there are a bunch of youtube videos out there also. It takes less than 30 minutes for me to compress a 10 minute video taken from my camera.
