Is anyone else having problems with video playback? It seems like every video I try to play has moments where it will get very pixelated and blur images together. This makes watching the lines of pole dancing very difficult. I haven’t had this issue on any other video site (like youtube or hulu). I don’t know if it’s my internet connection or what… I’ve been having this problem now for about a month, and no issues like this before then. I figured best way to explain what I’ve been seeing is to take some screen shots:

    playback2.jpg

(I hope Rena doesn’t mind, the screen shots come from her video… I was annoyed at how much was being distorted while I was trying to enjoy her pretty dancing!)

This is most likely a decoding issue, the most likely cause is an older version of flash, or performance issues with your computer. Try to upgrade your flash player at http://www.flash.com or even just switching browsers.

Chrome is a great browser, it’s fast and standards compliant and all I use for my day to day browsing.

Well… I like Google Chrome… but I’m still having issues. Now the picture will stall but the audio will continue. *sigh* I tried updated my flash capabilities but maybe I just have no idea what I’m doing. Maybe I just need to call upon the powers of one of my computer savvy nerd boys. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_geek.gif <—strange, that’s supposed to be the ‘nerd’ emoticon? lol

Well I have updated all of the software on my mac, including flash, and the picture still freezes while the audio continues. I almost wish the distortion would come back because at least the video kept going. *pout*

    Englann,

    1) How old is your computer?
    2) Have there been any recent problems with your Internet connection?

I have a MacBook Pro from 2008. It runs Mac OS X 10.5.8 on an Intel Core 2 Duo processor. I haven’t had any internet connection problems recently that I am aware of. Someone who would be more sensitive to that would be my WoW playing roommate. I could ask him. I haven’t noticed any bandwidth problems trying to do something while he’s up there playing WoW either (though our waking hours rarely coincide). I will say though that recently I have had to delete many files because I was filling up my HD (mostly with pole stuff! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_mrgreen.gif ) and it was slowing my computer down. I seem to have fixed that problem though with a good clean out of stuff and a reboot. I’ve also checked for software updates and did a firmware update, but that didn’t change anything though. Help me obiwan-webmaster, you are my only hope. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/alien.gif

Ok… I’ve tried everything… I give up. I literally have spent the last 2 hours on this issue. I’ve been uninstalling and reinstalling flash and shockwave, changing all sorts of settings, tested internet speed (which was excellent, actually), searched forums and websites on the subject, and yet no matter what I do, the video on this website will not play right. The picture just stalls and I get to experience the audio only. My computer must hate JW Player or something. So I am now going to express my feelings about this through emoticons: https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_question.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cry.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_thumbdown.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cry.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_mad.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cry.gif
