  • Visiting SF Bay Area – studio recommendations and meeting up?

    Hi all!
I’m visiting my mom in the bay area next week, and I’d love to hit up some pole studios while I’m there! I signed up for a spin pole class at Phoenix Aerial in Berkeley (they were having a Groupon sale, so I have 2 more class options I could go for while I’m there). Can anyone recommend some specific pole classes or pole studios in the bay area that’d be fun to visit, and would anyone like to pole together? I’m somewhere in the intermediate level.

Just to ping in here with some studio suggestions: Poletential, SFPD, and Vertical Barre. All highly recommended. The instructors and the vibe in all places are super solid. As for classes, not sure what you’re looking for or what your level is (“intermediate” means different things different places and to different people). Poletential is all mixed classes, so it doesn’t matter there, but there are classes specifically for floor/low-pole work. Vertical Barre and SFPD have some specialized handstand and flex courses, last I checked. Lots of options. I’d suggest checking them out.

Poletential was my home before my international move. They are so wonderfully supportive and welcoming there. And some of my buddies from there also frequent Twirly Girls regularly, which is in Pleasanton.

I would definitely recommend Poletential as well. The atmosphere there, has always been very welcoming and the owner is super nice!
