WHat To Bring To Pole Expo
Posted by luvlee on June 16, 2013 at 5:32 pmI have never been to a large event like this. I am wondering what to bring to wear and such… I am guessing people just wear leggings and a top with pole clothes under neath? So I am going to bring lots of leggings, tops, pole clothes, swim suits, flip flops, and a dress for the after party. Let me know what you all are packing!!!!

I read somewhere that you should bring some leg warmers and a yoga mat for workshops that are not on the pole.

Oh wow! I will be flying. No room for a mat, but good to know!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Last year I went and bought a cheap thin mat from walmart that fit in my luggage so that I'd at least have something. Bring some nice clothes for going out! I didn't bring enough cute outfits last year.

Good to know! Thank you so much!!! So, more than one dress. Got it!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Also- Bring a pair of heels (not pole heels). One of the clubs that hosted a pole contest last year did not allow flats/flip-flops/etc. My friend forgot to pack heels and we ended up not getting into the club.
And go see Absinthe. Best show in Vegas if you like burlesque-y, dirty humor and circus stuff. Liked it much better than the Cirque shows I saw.

Wow! You had to wear heels to get in??? What did the men do?? LOL!!!

I have learned, that at these convention type situations…when I take workshops, I bring my own bottle of alcohol and rag. Some places supply it, others do not, some don't provide enough…. and you end up wasting time trying to track down a bottle to clean off the pole, or end up stuck with a slick pole because whoever was on it before was wearing lotion( what crazy poler does that!? https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif ). So I just assume bring my own and make sure I have a clean pole to work on. 🙂

Luvlee, you've got the right things in mind to pack. I second the bringing a couple of pairs of regular heels and 2-3 cocktail dresses/going out outfits. For Bob, bring a few nice button up dress shirts, slacks and dress shoes. Vegas clubs are very strict about dress codes…

Don't forget a good pair of tennis shoes…for fremont street or walking the strip

Damn, I didn't even think about having to bring heels. :p I never go dancing in heels. I love my sparkly flats! lol I will have to bring some wedges, Hopefully i can get by with those in the clubs 😉

I have always been freezing cold inside Vegas, so you might want to bring some layers.

Beachbabe is right. It will be ohsolovely hot outside, but the AC in most places is so high it's like walking into a freezer. I always keep a sweater in my car to grab if I'm heading into a casino or store. Even the grocery store or Walgreens! You'll see quite the variety of dress (or undress) but in Vegas it's better to be over-dressed than under-dressed. Remember we're gonna dance hard, so let's play hard too! can't go wrong with glitter and sparkle! 😉

Go to the FAQ on PoleExpo.com. I would say to just bring what you would take to class. I’m thinking I am going to bring my own towel to wipe down my pole just in case (that’s just a lot of girls sharing one towel per pole and im kind of a germaphob, haha)! I am also going to bring several different pairs of shorts, leg warmers, sports bras, a notebook and pen to take notes, money for merch
