Weird neck pain ?
I’ve had this terrible neck pain sneak up on me…I only feel it on my right side, and I feel it very high up on my neck at the base of my skull. It’s a deep pain that pulses in waves and I freakin hate it! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif It shoots up into the back of my head and makes me feel like I have a bad headache but Aleve doesn’t touch it and it all radiates from that one point on my neck. Extremely localized, as in, I can put my finger right over where it stems from, the headache just kind of radiates up from it.
I had a little too intense of a session for the very little warmup I had last night (I know, i was in a hurry, I’m sorry https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_redface.gif ) The pain started a few hours after that, so I’m assuming I must have strained something in my neck and just not felt it until later. I went to bed really early last night because of it and it bothered me at night, slept in late today. It was fine for a while but it crept back up a few hours ago and now is back at full annoy the heck out of me levels. It really aches deeply and when I make an effort to relax my neck completely (i.e. lay down supported haha) it subsides somewhat. I’m stressed the heck out lately so I know tension is probably making it worse.

Other than the Aleve, the only thing I might suggest is icing it. I’m no expert though! Hopefully someone smarter comes along soon. lol.

I would try getting a massage and if that doesn’t work go to a good chiropractor.
