So clearly I've never been to a pole jam – what are they all about? I assume it's a place for dancers to get together and play on the pole and network, but is there any sort of structure or performances? It probably depends . . .but what have your experiences been? I just saw that there is a pole jam in Massachusetts, and I am curious!

My personal "studioveena" definition of a Pole Jam: The gathering of pole dancers all levels. Sharing, and learn from each other. Its not structured and not performance based, just fun. Usually free or very low cost. Friends, fun and music! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif

pole jams are the BEST! it's just a get together and you practice whatever you want – or not! sometimes I stand about just chatting to others for upto half an hour haha. You always make a new friend at pole jams 😀

The awesomest thing EVER!!! Sometimes there ARE performances (mrsnaughtywed you ROCKED it last night!). I've learned soooo much from jams, plus you meet people who GET you. At Chicago last year I showed up with bruises all over my inner arms from practising corkscrew spin. Instead of pitying glances I got: "awesome bruises! what're working on!" I even had a bruise SISTER who was working on the same thing!!! They're just fantastic!!!

Ooooh develange, please come! Everyone is right, a pole jam is just awesome fun. Everyone chats and shows each other what they're working on, supports each other, tries new things…and it's SO great to be in a room full of people who understand your sport and obsession! It doesn't matter what level you're at, you'll have an amazing time.

I'm so excited to be back in Massachusetts for a few days and can't wait to meet other Veeners at our jam! This one does cost $20 per person for the two hours, that's what the studio is charging us. Let me know if you'll join us, I really really hope so!!

I've never been to an actual "pole jam" but have been to pole parties at clubs. Not sure if it's the same. LOL! What are we supposed to wear? Tank and booty shorts? Dress/skirt with booty shorts under? Leggings?
