    Hey ladies,

I was just wondering if anyone knew what the diameters of the poles they use in competitions are? (45mm or 50mm)

Also for buying poles for a studio would you suggest 50mm or 45mm?

    Just wanted some opinions 🙂

    Thanks

It totally depends on the competition.  There is no standard regulation size right now.  I think USPDF still uses 45's but at ECR they had us on 50mm's.  The Midwest Pole Comp that Empy is putting on will be on 50's.  I eventually just purchased a 45 to add to my collection in case I wanted to do a comp with a 45.  Plus I like to cross train between the two.

For a studio – ideally both.  One of the studios I work at has both and I think that works best.  Everyone can find their best grip for each move.
