What is your “off the pole” workout routine?

In addition to teaching 14 hours per week…
I work on the treadmill every day…alternate days doing a HIIT program.
Stretching for flexibility – 45 minutes daily
Free weights – 6 days per week (2 days per muscle group) -
I go to the gym a few times a week. My gym routine consists of:
30 min on the treadmill. I mostly walk on an incline b/c of my knees.
Free weights – mostly focusing on my upper body (I feel like I really lack in that dept)
Depending on the day, I may do 30min on the bike. I usually watch TV during this time.
Abs – I do various ab exercises and change it up so im not so bored. I will also work on putting my back against the wall and get comfortable engaging my abs so I can do it in pole
Stretch and massage chair at the gym!

TRX suspension training. Awesome workout and gets your core like nothing I’ve ever tried. Have a TRX system set up right beside my pole!

Kaylie, how often do you do pole and crossfit? I’ve done it in the past but it’s been a while. Do you do cross fit and pole in the same day?

No more Crossfit!! I was starting to look like a five foot linebacker. Pole is kinda like Crossfit with stilettos!! These days I am stretching and running along with my pole and yoga classes

I power walk with 5 lb apiece wrist and ankle weights. I wear negative heel sneakers to feel it more in my butt. I stretch and do ab plows everday.

I spend too much time on the pole to workout other ways lol… I teach 3 days in a row so I'm usually pretty burned out on strength by then…
When I can, I like to take a pilates or kettlebell class and I try to get to the gym to get on the treadmill every now and then. Now that it's getting warm outside I'll probably be jogging outside much more often. I like conditioning with simple bodyweight exercises at home also.

I tend to use the elliptical and stairmill, in addition to free weights and weight machines when I'm in the gym.
Outside of the gym, I like to jump rope, do pilates, bodyweight exercises, and use the Nike Training Club iPhone app.
I've been off the pole for a little over a year, and just started back last week. Doing the exercises I've listed has been helping me to rebuild my endurance.

Since I have 6 dogs, I do a lot of dog walking, haha. Outside that I do yoga, barre, kettlebells DVDs. I also recently got a whole body vibration machine. Supposedly a ten minute workout on it equals an hour. I'm not so sure about that, but I love using it. I feel really good afterwards.

I take floor acrobatics class, aerial silks class, trapeze class and flexibility class.
I have 2 dogs and, like Angel1201, I do dog walking 😉
Apart from that, I don't have more time…

I do my Felix Cane Flexibility DVD, run on the elliptical at the gym,or follow a random workout video (i.e. balance ball stuff, pilates, yoga). Something else I've done is to stay on the pole, but use it differently by working on grounded moves, dance moves, flexibility, and floorwork. You can mimick moves like the chopper from the floor, so that your only working abs and not your arms, so sometimes I do that.

Zumba and daily callestinics sets (2-3x a day for about 10 mins each set) at home–push ups, sit ups, streching, balance ball & pull ups. I plan on getting back into running as well next week, I stopped for awhile.
