Posted by Sierra Taye on February 5, 2013 at 7:34 pmSimple enough question – what do you have in your pole bag? I'm looking for some ideas to be prepared for my first class!

In my pole bag I have, a microfiber towel for wiping down the pole, a towel for myself, a bottle of water/energy drink, and pole grip. although u shouldnt need the pole grip for a while yet. xx

I bring my shorts, (havnt brought heels to a workshop yet) but most will, a towel to wipe my self, tho u normally dont need to bring your own rag and alcohol to wipe your own pole, i do lol. Water, snacks, a notebook and pen for notes. camera just in case! lol. sometimes ill even bring a pair of yoga pants for the warm up since im weird and dont like warming up in shorts. sometimes leg warmers lol. some grip aid. a hair tie. spray and deodorant for after lmao! I bring alot lol.

I keep shoes, leg warmers, a microfiber towel, different grip aids, foot undies, an Ace bandage (I have pre-existing knee issues), a notebook, deoderant and band aids. I used to keep face wipes til I used them all…and I always pack a water bottle. Yoga pants are good too for keeping warm while stretching after, if you didn't wear them there. In my opinion, it's better to be prepared!

When I perform or teach I have:
Deodorant, Cramers Firm grip, might grip, itac, (for performing on cold poles) pole towel, an extra pair of pole shorts, tampons ect, water, cliff bar, heels, footundeez, leg warmers. For a performance I make sure to have a warm pair of pants and sweatshirt to warm up in and a small makeup bag too!
Have fun at your first class!

I did a blog post about this awhile back-
https://www.studioveena.com/blogs/view/A_Pole_Dancer_Exposed_Whats_in_my_bag_20120124015450
I need to do an updated version of this! I should just make a video tag- what's in your pole bag? The ladies on youtube beauty vloggers do the what's in your bag/purse videos all the time. I think we need our own tag video here…. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif

Ah this was one of my very first blog posts a loooong time back! Love to see things come full circle and the same questions get asked again 🙂
This is my original post: http://aerialamy.com/blog/2011/04/22/in-my-bag/
And this is my update, one year after the original entry: http://aerialamy.com/blog/2012/06/01/in-my-bag-part-2/
I hope that helps 🙂 I cut down a lot and minimized as time went on 🙂

I tend to wear my pole gear to class under my clothes so all I have in my bag is:
A bottle of water
Deodorant
A comb, hair ties and bobby pins
My studio's moves cards – little laminated cards with each levels moves on and a box for signing them off (Silver, Gold and Platinum level)
My purse/phone/iPod/keys
And my little bag of grip aids! Liquid chalk, the two types of mighty grip and tite grip (I've become to the go to person for grip aid lol, they call it my bag of white powder)I really need to start putting a notebook in my bag, I'm constantly writing mental lists of things I want to try and then forgetting them 🙁

Grip aids (I pretty much have them all), extra booty shorts and tank, foot undeez, leg warmers, brush, hair ties, microfiber rag, alcohol, notepad and pen, sharpies and sometimes shoes and a set of speakers for my ipod.

I'm really minimalistic. I only take
– bottle of water
– shorts
– ballet shoesThe top I wear underneath my clothes and the rest (like wipes) etc. are there.
On Saturday I'll have a 5-hour-private-workshop where it'll be about new stuff and performing so I'll also take
– Heels
– mighty grip ankle protectors
– mighty grip gloves
– performing clothes
– long pants
– Tite Grip (just bought yesterday, I'm so exited to try if it works!)
– "bathroom stuff" (deodorant, makeup, facial cleanser, …) because we'll go to a pub afterwards (where they have 2 Xpoles on the bar and maybe…) -
Deodorant
Grip Aids = Mighty Grip, iTac, Dry Hands, Cramers, Mighty Grip Gloves,
Wrist Wraps
Notepad and Pen
Camera
Water and snack (Cliff Bar)
iPad
MicroFibre cloth (2)
Pole Tools (allen wrenches)
Biofreeze
I wear my pole gear under yoga pants and a tank top. Leg warmers are already on and they come off when I'm warmed up and ready to roll!

the usual: grip aids, gloves, socks, shorts, top, towels, alcohol, heels, snacks, water, pole journal…
other stuff:
tampons!
self sticking wrap bandages,
tiger balm,
motrin,
a sharpie to initial all my stuff,
lotion to moisturize after class -
I also wear my pole gear underneath my clothes when I go to the studio, and I tend to wear sweats and a loose sweatshirt to easily put on or take off for warming up/cooling down/stretching.
In my bag:
iPhone with music
Water
Heels (although I don't always use them, just more convenient to keep them there!)
Knee pads
Leg warmers
iPad or camera for filming practices
Grip aids: I use Tite Grip for my hands and iTac for my legs
Mighty Grip gloves (don't use them often anymore, now I'm at a studio with brass poles)
Lip chap
Band-aids
Sometimes there are snacks kicking around in there, but usually I'm just going from home to the studio and back so I tend not to eat while I'm actually there
Fun thread!
