What’s your favorite brand of pole shoe?

Any brands you don’t like? I’m after some new shoe brands to try so would love any recommendations/also anything to avoid!

Also what are the sizes like? I’ve found I always need to get Pleasers a size bigger so would be interesting to hear other people’s shoe experiences!

I like Ellie and Pleaser. I have wide feet so with regard to sizes, I can wear my regular size in the regular stiletto's, but I have to go up a size in the chunky shoes. I have never worn the boots, so I can't tell you about those.

for the most part I like Pleasers. I generally wear a 7.5 so an 8 pleaser usually fits great. I do have some ellies I like but I buy some of them in 7's or if I buy an 8 I have to add inserts.

i LOVE pleaser shoes, and i get them in just the right size.  at first they fit pretty tight but after breaking them in they fit so well.

pleaser is the best. I have 2 Ellie's but, the plastic around the toe is too tight and the toe part of the heel comes "up"… I don't know how to explain… like pleasers toe area is closer to the ground… ellie's toe area curves up… looks elfish…

I like Ellie, I have narrow feet and they seem to work well for me. Both the base and heel of the shoe seems stable when I dance. I don't think I have ever had Pleaser heels. I have few heels and boots that do not have a name on them though. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_eek.gif

I have wide toes (only toes… my heels are quite narrow!), and Pleasers fit my in my regular size. (I have to widen the upper part a bit, though,  before putting them on. Easy!)  A friend of mine, who has the same shoe size, has a pair of Ellies, and she prefers them to Pleasers, as she has narrow toes. I could not get my feet in them! So for me it's Pleasers.

I LOVE Pleasers.  I have tried Ellie but they didn't fit right in my arches.  I have petite feet and pleasers are always snug and very comfortable.  I wear size 6 or 6 1/2.  https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

VIVID!  They're hard to find and don't have too many style options, but they are the comfiest exotic shoe I have ever owned.  They have memory foam on the inside, a bump under the toes to keep your feet from sliding forward, and a phenomenal arch support.  I can wear these all the time, after my toes are numb from the other shoes.  They are made by The Highest Heel, which has the same sort of insole but I have never owned a pair myself.

Second favorites would have to be Tony.  I have unusually skinny feet, and since Tony's run skinny, my feet don't slide forward.

Least favorite would have to be Ellie and Pleaser.  They're just not built for my feet.  Actually, the most recent pairs of both these brands that I have bought I've been quite disappointed with.  My most recent Ellies have clear plastic straps.  I don't know why they're making them this way now, but the new plastic is way too flexible and feels really flimsy.  I've never broken any straps but I feel like I could easily break these.  They also don't support at all, my feet slide right through them so my toes hang over the front.

My most recent Pleasers really upset me; they had that gorgeous shiny chrome platform, and it just disintegrated pretty badly the first night I wore them.  I had to paint them with clear varnish to keep them from getting damaged further.  They also have no cushion inside them whatsoever; my toes and balls of my feet are screaming at the end of the night.  Just seems like these companies would know better than to make a shoe that's so flimsy and uncomfortable, being the supposed leaders in the exotic shoe industry.

All of the above brands I have found to be true to size – I wear a size 6 in street shoes, and wear a size 6 in all the exotic shoe brands I've tried.

Thanks so much MelanieDA!  I'll check those out!

I also have (I call them ski feet), and my toes are always clawing over pleasers and ellies.  I"m a 91/2 in regular shoes, but usually buy them in 8's to make up for it.

I also really like Jante.  Find they have the right arch without the claw feet.  I also buy them in 8's.
