I can never seem to find the right time to pole! I am a morning person and normally like to do everything then. But of course, there’s the "morning time" with my husband (wink, wink), getting ready, feeding and taking care of the dogs, packing my son’s lunch, waking up son and going through his morning routine, making breakfast, and then taking him to school. If I need to buy groceries, I’ll often do it after drop off, and then suddenly it’s noon, and I’m either too hungry to pole, or have just eaten and don’t want to pole. Or I’ll be in an academic class until noon and it’s the same story about feeling weak from hunger or having lunch. Then, because I’m already feeling guilty for not practicing, I’ll force myself to do chores around the house and suddenly, it’s time to pick up Hunter and then the rest of the afternoon is his. I really am USELESS at night–I can barely function–so I don’t pole then. So unless I’m paying for a class, I don’t often get in a satisfying practice. What do you guys do?

I’m the opposite – more productive at night. I also find I’m more productive when I’m alone; I can’t seem to practice in front of my husband.

My day starts at 5:00 AM: wake up, get ready for work, out the door at 5:30 to be there by 6:00. I work until 2:30ish, and pick up my daughter from the sitters on the way home. I try to do my housework and such then. Dinner is usually around 6 or 6:30 (it keeps getting later and later because it’s not getting dark as soon to give me my cue to start cooking!). My daughter’s bath time is at 7:30 and she’s in bed around 8, and after going through the living room real quick to pick up the aftermath of my 18-month-old, then it’s my pole time. I usually practice for about an hour and a half or so, but that depends on several things. After I’m done, whatever time that is, I’m usually on the forums here until I either get too tired to stay awake or my husband gets home at 11:30. Even on my days off I usually end up practicing at night.

I’m usually a night poler too! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif On the days my daughter goes to school I sometimes get a good mid-morning workout in during my son’s nap. But for the most part I’ll eat an early dinner, stretch while having conversation with my husband while he eats, then get on the pole after my kids go to sleep…..and hopefully while my husband watches a movie – I get nervous when he watches…..though I do love to put on a show for him on a good night. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

Oh, and I often get to practice my inverts in the afternoons when my kids play outside….they have a fireman’s pole on their playground outside, the soft grass makes me braver!

I HAVE to pole in the morning or it just wont happen. Every time I tell myself "I’ll just do it at night" haha it never happens. I’m just ways to beat, once the kids are all in bed and I’m sitting by my hubby I don’t want to do anything.
My mornings look like this…get up, feed all the kid, make lunches for school, eat my breakfast, drop off kids, check emails…respond to critical ones only,( I break that rule a lot and end up wasting my morning https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_surprised.gifops. then its time to feed Henry before his nap, lay him down, quick snack for me, CJ has TV time, and I go do a work out. Henry wakes up, If I’m lucky I got to shower. Time to make lunch, feed Henry, go get Will from school, come back ( I have less than an hour to be home) make myself lunch and a snack for Will. eat, do some dishes, time to get Alex,…. come home he has a snack, then its nap time for Henry, homework time for older boys, by the time all that is done, well its time to make supper (dinner), after supper its time to clean the dishes, put Henry to bed, get kids ready for bed and tucked in, then I pick up the house a bit and sit down to do more emails and work! I usually try to take a quick, super hot bath so I can stretch while I work or go over video’s. Wheeew…so you can see if I don’t do it in the morning its not gonna happen. I have one day a week where I get groceries, and house hold supplies, and that has to happen in the morning during my work out time. Then there are just days where house work and trying to have play time with my boys takes up the morning so I don’t work out. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_geek.gif Well off to feed Henry before his morning nap! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/bom.gif I’m supposed to do legs for my work out today, we’ll see if that happens https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif

My biggest problem is finding a time that’s far enough after a meal too! If I pole after eating its all bad news… So I have to be free, and either be between meals or be willing to put off the next meal. Late morning or early evening (so right before lunch and dinner respectively) seem to be my prime poling times =)

Geeze you ladies are so busy I feel like I have no right to complain about not having time to pole! Yogabeachbabe I find if I keep a piece of fruit and a protein bar or healthy brand of granola bar (I’ve been obsessed with Fiber 1 bars lately) in my car or purse with me then i dont get too hungry to exercise because I do the same thing…I let myself get hungry then I have to eat and I don’t like working out on a full stomach so I have to let myself digest..then by that time I’ve lost interest or am doing something else. But the fruit/granola bar fill me up enough to satisfy my tummy but I’m not too full to move so I can still workout.

The hardest thing for is finding the time to do it…my job is pretty physically demanding and I’m standing on my feet all day so when I get home I just want to sit down. On the days I do pole I just have to force myself to get up and do it…usually once I get into it I forget I was tired from working but it’s still always a struggle to get up and do it instead of just sit around obsessively hitting refresh on the forum page here https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_tongue.gif

I have trouble finding time as well. I work M-F from 8:30 – 4:30. In the morning I get myself ready for work, I make my son breakfast then wake him up. I drop him off at school and then head to work. After work I pick him up from the after school program. We get home and I fix him a snack and start making dinner. I might try to squeeze in some spinning while dinner is cooking. If the hubby isn’t home from work I do that. I don’t pole in front of him since I am not comfortable with my body. I usually can kick butt doing pole sessions on weekends when my son is next door playing or visiting my mom.

Even if you can find time while kids are studying/showering/myspacing/etc something is better than nothing!

If I get a chance duirng the week its always at night after dinner, but that usually only happens once a week. On the weekends I usually try earlier in the morning or just after lunch.

Now that its warmer outside I’ll probably try pracing more since my garage will be warm.

I’m also a night-time poler. I just don’t feel quite sexy or exuberant practicing during the day. It’s something about the day that just doesn’t feel right to me.

Plus, I like to practice when no one can see my frustrations or mess ups. Second, I’m a night person and hate early mornings although I will get up to see a beautiful sunrise and then go back to bed!

lol i laughed at your post veena because that’s exactly what your day is like!!! i saw it first hand! lol

im a night poler, probably around 7-9 is the best time for me, i feel like i have nothing else to do for the rest of the night, im most awake at that time and flexibility is better then too…plus i can get all sweaty and gross and dont have to worry about having to go out right afterwords https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

Never… it seems anymore! I just started school full-time and I also work full-time, so now I feel like I never get to pole. I am so sad about it… I don’t even have to time to watch videos or peruse the forums anymore… right now even I am cheating cuz I am supposed to be studying but my mind is fried and I need a little break! I am so sad cuz I feel so outa the loop now! And, I miss chatting with you all!

But back when I had a life….. I usually poled at night. I am a such a night person tho… Until recently, I have been working 3rd shift and so "night time" for me was really like lunch time…. I can’t really workout after I wake up, my muscles are always too stiff and it takes time to loosen them up. I find myself most limber and energetic in the evenings. My endurance is better then too.
