I got the name Pinky when I went on a local cattle drive as a fundraiser. I was wearing the cute little pink top in my picture (From the Cattle Drive Photos) and none of the silly cowboys who had crushes could remember my name so they called me Pinky. Needless to say I am now Engaged to one of those Silly Cowboys (another long and Interesting stories) and he still calls me Pinky sometimes. My real Name is Lindsey. The Power came from the fact that I am a woman and I am Powerful. Pinky is my stage name as well.

Pinky- That is a cute sweet story! Congrats on the engagement. Will you have a themed wedding or traditional wedding? Just curious if how you two met would be incorporated in any way. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif

"descalzada" means barefoot (in Spanish; I’m Venezuelan), and I’ve always preferred being barefoot.
It’s been my on-line nom de plume for many years … when I was a young engineer back in the mid-70s, the prevailing male attitude was that women should be "barefoot & pregnant", so initially I was using it sarcastically.
I still prefer being barefoot at home most of the time, but I also enjoy putting on my CFM heels!

I’m laughing at all the other Everquest character names being mentioned. Count me in! Kasanya was my welf druid main for years, until I saw the ligh…er…darkness and switched to a delf necro.

When I signed up didn’t imagine being involved much- just reading and viewing. I was very uncreative and probably tired so mine is obvious and even though I consider myself a huge fan of my daughter- I am also kicking myself in the behind! I think I was in a hurry to get to see some informational help LOL! Should of thought about it more.

I did the samething. So I wasn’t creative. K is for Kim and C is for my last name and FL is for Florida and 5 is because I have 5 kids.

I have used Prncsopowr forever! Basically, when I was picking an AIM name years ago, Princess of Power was taken so I took out most of the vowels to get Prncsopowr. My real name is Shira and growing up I was consistently made fun of due to She-ra, the cartoon (He-man’s sister). I decided later on in life to just embrace it. At my ballet performance the other day, my little brother even started yelling it! Some of my friends even call me POP.

This is such a cool thread!

My name has a few different backgrounds. . .

When I was thinking of an ‘alter ego’/’stage name’ for when I started poling I went through in my mind a few things. . . .

I wanted to something unique (or so I thought) and also something that was ‘personal’ to me.

    SKITTLES ~~~

    * One of my fav candies
    * It’s a fun colorful candy ((Id like to think of myself as fun colorful and carefree))
    * Tagline "Taste the rainbow" — sort of sexy here. . . I like my rainbow tasted (did I just type that!?) https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_eek.gif
    * And later my husband also added that a rainbow has many colors and variety such as poling: Strength, Sexiness, Fun-ness, etc etc. . . and I try to do a little of it all. . .

    . . . . hence the name "SKITTLES"

I did think about changing my name, but Skittles stuck with me. . . .. I didnt want a serious name, because I’m just not a super serious person/poler and I’m actually a bit shy https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cool.gif . . . so I wanted to keep it light hearted and fun. .

Plus, when I’m at work and someone mentions Skittles (from the snack machine) I do turn as if they’ve called my name, lol!

    Hey Vixen,

Yes, we will be having a Western/Traditional Scottish themed wedding. I am Scottish with long red hair and plan on mixing my heritage with our love of horses. It should be interesting! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif It is frustrating though coming up with nice "Wedding-e" ideas with my ponies involved. I am planning on riding up side saddle on my black horse Ebbi and parking her next to my white gelding which they will look lovely together. Until I change my mind that is. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_rolleyes.gif My man says it’s all up to me. If I mention ideas his eyes glass over and I just want to KILL HIM! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_evil.gif

I’ve been using various forms of untamedshrew since I joined the internet world. I was inspired by Shakespeare’s Taming of the Shrew. I found people’s reactions to my name to be revealing, so I’ve stuck with it. It has sparked conversations about literature and told me how some men feel about women who refuse to be "tamed".

Sasha came from my exes family. I introduced myself and his uncle looked at me and said "im going to call you sasha." Skittles came from some friends because I used to dye my hair all sorts of colors and said i needed a "Stripper name" because a normal name wouldnt fit me… this was long before i was into poling too

Chemgodess – I was always intrigued by that name because when I was a teenager I was a raver and the thing to do at Raves was ecstacy and everyone would always say "know your chemist" to refer to knowing where you got the drugs from, when in reality the person we were buying it from didn’t know the chemist, and I’m willing to bet that the person he bought it from didn’t know the chemist!! Wow, the stupid things teenagers do makes me really happy that I am not a teenager anymore!!

Yeah, but I am the geeky lab rat type of chemist.

This is the best picture ever!

Oooo I <3 all these stories they’re so interesting! So mine came from when I first started pole I wanted to come up with a sexy sounding alter ego. I always draw stars on my school notebooks and I always liked the name Raquelle so I put thattogther then I started writing it and if you say it fast it kinda sounds like rockstar and I <3 rock music lol! My real name is boring (Alicia) so something exotic sounded better! On everything else I usually use AliciaInWonderland21 my boyfriend came up with it and I was born on the 21st!

    I love this thread! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

My name has a couple of different meanings. I first thought of it because my favorite song at the time was "Dance Inside" by the All American Rejects. I liked the way it sounded, and although I don’t have a dance background, I’ve always loved watching and imaging I could do half the things serious dancers can. It also just sounds happy to me..like if I’m having a great day, I’ve got a huge smile on my face and I’m "dancing inside"

And 22 is my favorite number https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif
