Hey guys, I just received an email from poleandaerial about the new line of Vertical Vixen apparel. I wonder if anyone tried out their outfit before and what your feedback is?

I was actually wondering the same…any reviews on the Vertical Vixen line on Pole and Aerial? I love the look, but don’t know how functional/comfortable the pole wear is…any feedback would be helpful π

Yes! If anyone has reviews on the Vertical Vixen line and can share that would be awesome π the look is super cute on the model but I wonder what the fit is like. It’s a little pricey in the $30 up range, so it would be nice to get an idea before ordering. I have a few poledance playground shorts that I wear all the time. I feel like those are easy and seem to fit most people.

I have a couple pairs of Mika yoga wear shorts but the only thing that bugs me are the side ties. They hurt a little during some floor work otherwise they are great quality and fit. My absolute favorite and what most of the ladies at my studio have switched to is http://www.zweetsport.com. Check out the Jaco Shorts! Super lightweight, feel just like boy short underwear and NO MUFFINTOP! Not ever! They just got new colors and patterns in too. I have worn them in the two showcases I’ve done and they looked and felt great. I even dressed up a red pair by adding a removable half tutu! Love them! Ha! I’m wearing a pair in my profile pic too!

My favourite is http://indipolewear.com
I love, love, love their stuff. I tried them out instead of Bad Kitty because they’re an Australian brand and fell completely in love with the styles. They fit well and stay in place. I also love that it’s a new company so feedback is taken on board and I love the feeling of helping someone start up, as well as simply supporting Australian brands.
I’ve tried a few brands of shorts and these are by far my favourite. They just fit nicely and don’t I’ve around while I’m dancing. I also love the feel of the tops. They have a bunch of new colours and styles being released tomorrow, which I’m super excited about!

I’ve been looking at Indi Pole wear too and am glad to see some feedback. I will have to consider the price of shipping to the US but it’s all relative to me. I was wearing a sports bra today (paid too much) that I felt was too tight in the back and under my arms. Indi is coming out with one that is cut lower in that area so nothing pooches out and has cross straps in the back. It looks so sexy yet functional for pole. Can’t wait for Monday to check it all out!!!

I love Light Activewear! http://www.lightactivewear.com so comfy and cute. Really high quality and the designers are lovely canadian polers π

For tops, I’ve tried and liked the Mika Yogawear tops in Tula and Lila for practice. There isn’t any built in padding though so headlights can be an issue. I am a big fan of Lululemon for bra tops but they can be a bit expensive.
For shorts, I’m a bit less picky. The TNA Solstice short from Aritzia is great, as are some of the Forever XII shorts from their activewear collection. Mika makes great bottoms as well, I’ve tried the Mikaela and Meeko styles and like them both. I wanted to try the Betty but they were out in the colour that I wanted. The are more expensive than the TNA and FXII ones though.

@happystace I’m so glad you mentioned the thing about mika! I was going to get it for a performance but I have pretty bright headlights sooo good to know! They’re stuff is super cute though so I def want some for practice. Have you tried their shorts?
-
Nvm just saw the second half of your comment. Do you feel like the mikaelas are too short or are you pretty we’ll covered?
-
@Lucca Valentine – The Mikaela’s are a bit on the cheeky side. I’m wearing them in black in these videos (along with the Tula tops):

https://www.studioveena.com/videos/view/53e2b035-cc60-425a-832b-3eb10a9aa0ebNote that I have not pulled the strings to shrink them up in the videos! I find I never tie the strings because I’m more of a conservative pole short type of person.
The Meeko is about the same in back coverage – like the Mikaela’s with the strings pulled. They are lower in rise though. I think they look prettier on than the Mikaela style but they’re a bit more revealing obviously. You can see them on here: https://www.studioveena.com/videos/view/540d25db-c404-43ab-b062-06000a9aa0eb
I think the Mika sparkle tops are super pretty for a performance. I honestly think if you’re worried about headlights that silicone petals should cover that issue. I’ve tried to use standard cup inserts tucked into the bra but they just slide all over the place and become visible.
-
Also, if you are worried about coverage in the Mika tops that have the tie back, size up! The strings will be longer, but you will get more of the fabric band that wraps around the back. I’m a petite person, and I’m wearing a large! If I bought a small, I’m sure it would fit, but the back would be allllll strings.

Yes the sparkle tops seem so pretty to perform in! Maybe I will have a go with them. A girl at my studio wears mika stuff and they all fit her so beautifully and the fabric seems really nice
