    Hi everyone,
So I finally got my pole this morning and I don’t plan on taking any lessons (for now, cause I need to save money!). I’m extremely excited about this!
However I feel a bit lost now. What should I start with? Any tips or move suggestions will be appreciated!
    Thank you 🙂

I seriously would bite the extra cost bullet and get the Veena lessons, for a month if you can’t afford a year. An injury or doing things the wrong way will be expensive and discouraging and lead to you not getting much out of your investment.

Congrats on taking up an awesome fitness discipline!

Yes safety first, this is a serious sport!! You can learn on your own but it will take time a patience!! I think Veenas lessons are absolutely worth it, I hurt myself several times before getting the lessons and have no idea what shape I’d be in if I hadn’t!! Congrats and enjoy your journey, it’s sure to be a beautiful one!!

    I’m about a month-and-a-half in, too, MPole! 🙂
I started by going to group lessons and very quickly discovered that they were way over my head. I’ve been an exerciser most of my life, but the pole makes me look and feel like I’ve never exercised a day in my life!

I don’t know if I would have made it this far without discovering Veena’s lessons. They are totally worth the investment. Save up for them if you have to. I imagine that with your own pole (I wish I had one of my own) Veena’s lessons and their systematic approach you’ll be we’ll on your way.

    Cheers! 🙂

I was going to a studio when I started but the things that Veena teaches in her beginner lessons were much the same sort of things I started on at the studio. I took a special offer she was doing and bought the lessons to compliment my studio work and there’s really something to be said for being able to watch things from various different views and rewind and replay as many times as you need. A sound investment. Get them if you can. Mostly, relax and enjoy! x
