Where to travel to pole dance for 3 weeks?
Posted by MissMoloka on April 9, 2013 at 11:28 pmHi Everyone,
Just looking for some of your suggestions. I'm thinking that for vacation this year, it might be nice to go on a pole vacation and just travel somewhere, get away from the office and just pole intensely for 3 weeks. This would be in August or so. I am open to any destination in the world 🙂 Where are some of the best studios/places for a visitor to learn from? Thanks!

Los Angeles has some GREAT pole studios Be Spun & Choreography house are two really good ones for example. While Vegas has Shine fitness & Pole fitness studio & of course Veena!

There is also excellent pole in New York City, and a nearly endless supply of things to do there whenever you need a rest day. Summers in NYC can be rough if it's really hot, but there's also plenty of outdoor events going on and it's prime season for the beaches. It's also not terribly far from Toronto… only a 90 minute flight to JFK or an 8 hour drive.

I would suggest you definitely Miami beach!! Sobe pole dance!!!
There girls are wonderful, powerful and love to teach! They offer many different types of courses, morning’s and evenings. The price is very good as well for what you get! And by all that Miami is just awesome! Always good weather, perfect beach, accommodations are affordable – well get your own studio/apartment and cook for yourself you save so much money and well the people you meet in Miami are so nice! The whole place is filled with fitness orientated people, so it’s for sure a place to get fit and so easy to exercise and eat well and healthy. They even have a pole directly at the beach -
Does it have to be one location? I would probably start the end of August (23-25) going to Midwest Pole Competition in Chicago, spend a few days traveling to Nashville and cheking out The Chrome Bar and then on to NYC for classes at several studios. From there I would hop a plane and go to Vegas for Pole Expo Sept 5-8. After Pole Expo I would travel to California. With the expos you have the ability to take workshops and privates with numerous instructors in one location and with the travel days you have rest days built in.

I know that both Alethea and Zoraya have intensive training where you can live with them for several days to a week and train train train. Although with Alethea I am pretty sure drinking and partying are part of the package too.

I've heard awesome things about Zoraya's training program and I fully intend to, at some point when grad school isn't sucking the life from me, fly out and train with her for a bit. Unless you are a very advanced and flexible poler, I would not recommend Alethea's training. In my experience, her attitude was not very conducive to learning.

aw megan sorry to hear that.. i took a private with alethea at pole con last year, and i was super beginner then. couldnt even invert, now i can and she worked with me really well.
did you stay at her house recently when she start offering those packages? i know she specifically geared that type of training to girls who want to compete so maybe her attitude was much different at that point?i would absolutely go to australia if could go anywhere in the world for pole. its the mecca and so much going on over there with pole!
I actually emailed Zoraya last week about her packages and for what you’re getting, its not bad at all. Ive heard wonderful things about her teaching. I met her too and she is super sweet!
Chem suggested a good route too 🙂

No. I did a flexibility class and pole class with her. She said some disparaging things not only to me but other girls in the class. I didn't care for it.

As an Aussie, I am SO PROUD to hear some of you say that you would love to come to Australia for Pole!
I would absolutely agree with what you guys said about coming here for pole. There is definitely A LOT happening here in terms of Pole in all major cities! We are a very blessed and lucky bunch for sure!! ^^That being said, I would love to go to the US again and more specifically visit a few different pole studios and take a few lessons. Would be a great experience as I've never taken pole classes outside of Australia! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

What would be awesome for everyone Is if something was set up to where you could travel to different states and countries and stay with fellow Veena members and try the studios there that would save you tons on hotel and have a inside scoop for each place on good studios. For ex I live in GA. If someone wanted to check out vertical Joe’s or spineralla ir any other pole place here they would stay at my place or another GA Veena member for a few days and just studio hop and then check out next state on their list doing the same and if they live somewhere with good studios the person they stayed with could always go there and try the same like a exchange thing and that could be a way to save if you stay here later in yr I stay with you and pole hop where you are which would save hotel money for both parties. Just an idea

Thanks for all the awesome suggestions!!! Tigerlillies, I love your idea!!! It would be awesome to do rotations to different countries/cities and stay with other pole people who can show you around their studio! It would definitely be a great way to save and less intimidating when you have someone guiding you and showing you around 🙂 It probably wouldn't be too hard to coordinate either.

Well if anyone wants to try any GA studios let me know they also have a good burlesque studio here too which I plan on taking lessons at soon fig it would add some spice to my floor work. Glad ppl think it was a good idea we should make a discussion page forIt. Or should I do that since brought it up lol well let me know who knows all of us may soon be able to see the world and learn from so many great studios and make new friendships
