https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_heart1.gifOk I have a 45mm titanium xpole. I'm wanting to get an xpole stage lite. I don't want to get another 45mm pole. I have very small hands so I'm guessing a 50mm would be way to big. Is the 40mm the way to go? I mean I have heard that you feel more secure in your holds. Which I would love. Even though I don't have issues with my holds on the 45mm. What would you suggest?

40mm is good for tiny hands. I have one and love it. I personally despise 50s. They are harder on the tendons in your hands because it requires the grip to transfer to mostly using your finginers instead of the whole hand. It's hard to describe, but I REALLY REALLY think your fingers should AT LEAST touch on a pole.

Here are some pix comparing the sizes: http://flexines.blogspot.com/2013/02/pole-diameters_25.html

If you already have a 45 I think trying a new size is a great idea. I love my 45s and my 40. I use my 45s the most though, and it's quickly becoming the standard size.

I use my 45 the most.  I do like the 40 a lot but it takes some getting used to – kinda like a 50.  All I really have to add is that the 45 on the stage moves a little more than the 50 so I'm guessing the 40 might move even more.  Maybe write someone who has a 40 stage and see how they like it and maybe ask for a video to see it in action.  I don't mind pole flex on stage poles but some people really don't like it.  Good luck with your purchase and if you do get the 40 stage please post vids 😀

I have a 40mm XSL and I like it! It flees, like normal.

Awesome!!!  AerialGypsy!  thanks for the feedback.  I might buy one for my stage – it's way easier to deadlift on a 40!

I like the 40. I don't use it that often just because the stage is a pain to set up and put away. I'll leave it out more when I move to a place with more space.
