Wow there’s a lot of inspiration to be found in that video!
My favourite poler is DirdyBirdy. She’s just so strong and sexy and graceful and kind… Her freestyles blow me away every time.

All time favorite changes depending on the day, but Eva bembo is up there and was just reminded of this video the other day. She’s so captivating even though she’s not a crazy trickster. Hypnotic

Dirdy birdy is one of my very favorites too 💞 I wish she would do more full freestyles like she used to. They are always lovely

I could link all day there’s so many inspiring freestyles.
As far as here, Veena of course. Her dances are always inspiring and she makes thinks look so easy lol. She always reminds me why I started when she posts because she is just so graceful and connected when she dances and that’s something I would like to find.
PoleLeo, PixieLouBell, and ScarlettHoney. All strong, flexy, and flowy dancers on here who know how to connect.
As far as sexy style: Michelle Shimmy, Alethea Austin, Eva Bembo, Cleo the hurricane, and Felix Cane.
Flowy: DirdyBirdy, Marion Crampe, and Bendy Kate.
Tricksters: Anastasia Sokolova, Olga Koda, and oona kivela.

I forgot Nadia Sharif… How could I… This is by far one of my favorite dances and I love everything she does! https://youtu.be/FqlasLnbGQU

I love them all for all different reasons…. right now I am really enjoying watching Michelle Stanek and Shaina Cruea. Love their transitions, power, and flow. And I am loving watching Nadia and Mina with their doubles routines because i am wanting to do some doubles pole stuff. I go through phases of who I am currently obsessing over and being influenced by. it changes depending on what I am into at that time.

Jenyne Butterfly was the first pole dancer whose style I really connected with, so she’s definitely up there, as is Veena (hi Veena 😀 ). At the very top of the list for me is a Japanese pole dancer named Haruna Matsunami – I can’t find as much about her as the other pole dancers I really like, but I absolutely LOVE everything I’ve seen of her. She competed in Miss Pole Dance Japan 2012 as well as the World Pole Dance competitions (not sure which years, I’d have to look it up). She’s energetic and graceful and weaves advanced techniques and gymnastic floor work in with music beautifully without being sexy per se (I’m not a fan of overtly sexual styles myself), and I connect more with her style than anyone else I’ve seen so far.
Also, Kenneth Kao – I’m lucky enough to get to take classes with him. I’ve seen him freestyle a bit, and I’m always blown away by the effortless way he does moves that require so much strength. And he always looks like he’s having so much fun – I love the combination of youthful enthusiasm with mind-blowing strength and technical skill.

I draw my inspirations from this one

Anastasia Skukhtorova is a former ballerina -
She actually has no previous dance training besides pole which makes it THAT much more impressive honestly

Yes and that what I read on her page now as well. But I followed her for a few years and listened to many interviews she’s given. In one of them she was asked a question about her parents opinion on choosing pole dance instead of ballet because she went to ballet school to be a ballerina. She answered that it was difficult for them to accept at first but after all the skill carried her in to fame.
If you look at her feet you get it right away. It takes years of training to be so natural.
Whatever she advertises now its her label and her achievements to back it up. So it’s her’s and managers decision to represent herself in the most beneficial light in terms of her business. May be reference to ballet is taking it away from what she has done for pole…? But she truly transformed the pole for many and was able to translate it into a pure form of art -
Wow. I really enjoyed this thread. I’m not a huge fan of overtly sexual dance styles so it’s nice to see other styles here, especially since I’m struggling with trying to find my own style. Thanks ladies!

massive HUGE fan of Olga Koda. What can I say…the most amazing body, excellent floor work, excellent taste in music, great routines and I’ve seen her spinning pole videos. To me, if there was pole athlete on I aimed to be as good as it would be her.
