Why is Studio Veena Bias towards X-Pole?

This thread is just making me want to go out and buy another X-Pole. 🙂

There have been a lot of discussions about the materials of poles and some downright inaccuracies. There was just a thread started a few days ago regarding which pole to buy. There were lots of people who chimed in. Plain truth is that the company with the best customer service is ALWAYS going to gain more customers. Up until Eria came on board Platinum Stages had the worst..and I mean WORST customer service. And this was for YEARS (4 at least if not longer than that). They have put out some pretty dangerous poles….moreso than some possible nickel allergies or *supposed* lead issues (plain old biology and chemistry prove that incorrect). It finally looks as though PS has taken note and is trying to improve not only their quality control but also their image. The thread you are speaking of got closed for other reasons. If Erica wanted to clear the air, she very well could have by starting another thread instead of blatantly ignoring a request by the owner of this board. This is just plain rude and disrespectful.
This board has always been a sounding board for us to speak but it should always be done respectfully. The things I have said about Platinum Stages have been my OWN personal experiences. I have not tried to spread rumors on half truths and speculation or fear mongering as many others have. Typically I will rebut conversations with chemically/scientifcally sound proof.
I have an Xpole now, I had a LilMynx and I have worked on PS poles. I have had quite a few problems with my stages as they really are not designed for the rigors of a classroom. I will openly tell people about those problems *if they ask* but I am not going to come on this or any board and blast XPole just to blast XPole. I can honestly say that each and every time I have talked to Kimara I KNOW that my issues have been taken back to their engineering department and usually within 6 months changes have been made to remedy a wide spread problem. PS never did this (this may have changed) For over 3 years they have had issues with the threads of their multipiece poles. THREE YEARS. My girlfriend just ordered one over the summer and she had to get another piece because the threads were bad. It is things like this, things like them emailing people on FB asking them to call to discuss issues and then NEVER making good on their promises, their horrible horrible horrible customer service up to Erica coming on board that have given them a black mark among polers. It is not a bias that was generated by Veena or Webmaster, it is a bias the Platinum Stages created themselves. You cannot remove 4 years of "bad" with 6 months of "good".

Julie???? I always wondered what your real name was Veena. (I learned something from this post). Your hubby looks like a Christopher. I thought your real name would be Lacy, Suzette, Roxanne or somethig "stage like". Julie is such a cute name, makes me see you like the cute mother and housewife that you are. Where did the name Veena come from?
OK, I am trying to de-rail this thread and take it down another path.
Lyme Lyte……aka, Cherie! 🙂

I don’t see any real evidence that this website is biased towards anything, really. Some of the people on here may have biased opinions, but the site itself? It’s very encouraging.. I even asked about LilMynx and I had some great answers, letting me know about how good they were. I’ve never once seen Veena tell anyone to go for xpole only, and that you you should buy from her. Please research before you bash.

haha @ Lyme -My name is Julie and my hubby is also Cristopher! Only thing here that made me smile. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif Veena & Webmaster- we have something in common! Thanks for all you do. I enjoy this site EVERY day!

I have been on this website for about a year now. I have to say I have never noticed it being biased towards any company. I am a vendor for Xpole, LM, and PS….and the "kickback" or actually the commission is quite small. I was motivated to by my first PS from this website. I've received great customer service from all the companies. I've found for my self and for my clients that everyone prefers a diiferent pole. I dont think Veena needs to be a vendor for every type of product. That's ridiculous.

Usually when someone is this upset about something this inconsequental it means that there is really something else going on. Often…when I find that I am unrealistly bothered by something it means I should take a good look at myself and see what it is about MYSLEF that I am having a problem with. Are you just having an off day? I'm noticed everyone on here as being kind and supportive. I'm sure that they could help you with whatever it is you are going through. If you dont figure it out,. You will just end up feeling worse. Negativity is unhealthy and it will just fester inside of you.

None of us should waste a minute of our lifes on nonsense comments. I found this web looking for ideas to run one (non pole related). ended up getting the lessons and bying a pole. Guess wich one…. Does it matter? The thing is me an my 2 daughters are hooked on it thanks to this comunity i am more tolerant, less critical and more possitive. Please don’t change. Love your real names.

And if this site did not support free speech and a sharing of ideas and opinions, this thread would not have appeared on the daily update, nor would it have been up for several days. As I get ‘older’ i realize that some people just have some twisted need to be surrounded by drama 24/7 like they feed on it. Everyone here is entitled to an opinion, but dont think that nasty coments will be tolerated here without some sort of response.
Happy poling in 2012!

Last time I checked it was called "StudioVeena" not "StudioPayton"….

I just wanted to say that reading this thread has made me so proud of the majority of the Veena community. All the responses to the original post have been respectful and well written, and I agree with @pegasusaerialfitness when she says that the community here would be more than happy to support @paytonplays however we can.
Let's drop the negativity and just be glad that there are people out there like Veena and Webmaster who have created this amazing community for us to enjoy! You can't please everyone all the time and I think they've done a great job at pleasing most people most of the time – which is more than a lot of websites can say!
So having said that, @StudioVeena and @Webmaster, thank you for all your hard work! Keep it up 🙂 -
This is VEENA"S site… if she chooses to support X-Pole then that is her business. How do you know that other companies just dont want her selling their products. AND if that is not the case, WHO CARES? she can support whoever she wants to if someone doesnt like it then LEAVE and find another awesome social net working site for pole dancers with online lessons… IF YOU CAN! Lol silly silly people.

This is just like asking someone why they ONLY wear one brand of clothing… Because that's what they want to wear… Veena wants to support X-pole therefore she promotes it. SO WHAT if she gets paid to do it?
I'm not trying to argue with anyone. I am also stating my opion on the matter.

Also, i've never read of Veena downgrading any other companies on her site so i don't really see what the big fuss is about?

You want to know the funny thing? I have had HEAPS of problems with x-pole when I first got my pole. Customer service is great once you get in contact with them (PHONE CALLS NEEDED!).
But I'm upgrading and I'm going to get an xpert!
why? Because although I had heaps of problems, they did sort it all out in the end and it didn't cost me an extra penny! Joint was jammed within 3 weeks of putting up and they saw the sad track record I had with my pole (really unlucky!) and just sent me a new A and B pole. I had to phone them again to tell them I also needed the joint! Which they sent! 😀
So I guess I'm sticking with them because I know that when the water rises, they'll be there to help out. I'm sure other companies are great too. But I trust xpole. I do wish their costumer service via e-mail was better though.

i cant say anything bad about an x pole as i have never owned one, but i LOVE lil mynx!!! also i dont plan on buying an x pole because the next i want is brass and x pole only uses brass coating, i wud want a 100% brass, also i hear they r made in china, is this right? i kno most people dont care where they r made but i like USA made since i live there and thats where lil mynx comes from! also hear PS are USA made, correct? next poles i buy will be lil mynx again or PS! just thought id put that out there lol

ya hey lopsijulie, i had emailed x pole a few times when i was trying to decide between lil mynx and x pole and lil mynx responded in less than an hr! so i went with lil mynx, plus i decided powder coated wud be good for me, i never heard back from x pole. so i can agree with u on that one.
