Not to say it doesn't spin. It does, but once I do a move- really leaning out from the pole like superman, or even just inverted V it slows down and stops spinning. Is there anyone who knows of this problem and what can be done to fix it? I mean, I know the physics behind it and the momentum and everything but honestly the pole is supposed to spin slower but not stop completely. The pole is leveled and everything is set up correctly…. sooo what can I do?

This usually means that the pole is over-tightened. Typically if the pole is over-tightened, the easiest way to tell is that you’ll feel it spin “unevenly,” like there’s a bump in the middle of the spin or something when you turn it with your hand. I would try loosening the adjustor a bit and see if that helps. It’s very easy to over tighten, I still do it all the time and let’s just say I’ve put up and taken down many a pole in my time. 🙂

If that doesn’t fix it, give x-pole customer service a buzz, you can ask them about possibly directions for greasing the spin mechanism or making sure there’s nothing mechanically wrong.

…looks like I’ll be needing to loosen mine, too. It does the exact same thing, and makes an almost “knocking” noise when spinning.

Mine did that after it started bowing a little. Mine was not overtightened. It would stall at a certain point in the spin, then release. It also started clunking. Mine was the 50mm.
