The owner of my studio Dakota Fox is there right now. From the stuff I have read on the discussion group about this (https://www.facebook.com/events/716968355067016/) the organizer has had all sorts of issues. Many people spoke out last year about it and she went after many of them. Supposedly the organizer is “sick and in the hospital” but there are quite a few doubts about this. One person being sick should not shut down a huge event like this.

I feel bad for all the people who traveled there, only to turn on their phones when they landed and see it was canceled! It’s nice that people are pulling together other events.
I looked for an official statement when I saw Michelle’s post… But saw nothing, only presale for 2016.
Hope it works out and people still have fun. 🙁

This article was release recently! This is absolutely terrible; pole events are far from cheap. It’s cost on average 1000-3,500$ per poler after everything is said and paid for…
I hope Sabrina Waller is sued to the max, and that everyone is refunded their money. -
Whoops. I saw that you posted the article already- sorry about that! Lol. It’s still terrible, I’ve been following it all day

No problem AZ. I’m not on Facebook so I feel like i miss a lot. I just saw the one random post and couldn’t find any more about it until UPA posted that. Really insane.
I know many were disappointed Pole Con was canceled last year, but it seemed to be handled way in advance and in a much better manner.

Yes and the new owner of pole con released a statement today about that. I can definitely see how it may have tainted the image of Pole Con, but you’re right, it was handled way in advance. I believe it was cancelled 4-5 months in advance, which is still short notice but not two days!!!
This is what the new owner of Pole Con Released today in case you didn’t see it 😉

Smart decision to address things head on.
Thanks for filling me in! I go back and forth on wanting to join FB… But I think I’ll just hide here and on IG for the meantime.

Colleen Jolly is the new owner and I have to say that she probably knows it is going unsaid that Pole Con has some major proving and redeeming to do with its return.
She has a major task on her hands and she has definitely been successful so far. She is so professional with a lot experience, and I have worked with her personally with writing blogs for her!
I’m excited for it’s return! -
Ahhh as far as Facebook, stay away as long as you can or forever.. It drains so much of my time when I am already pretty busy. 😜😜 Lol
