I’ve had a portable pole with a wooden base for a couple of months, and it has always been pretty wobbly, especially the higher I place my hands. I had some reinforcing bolts put in the base to try and stabilise but it hasn’t made much of a difference. Then tonight while practicing hip circles the pole snapped clean off the base! My weight was barely on the thing! Should I try to repair it again or am I just wasting my time? Should I just upgrade to an x pole with a base and ceiling attachment instead? If it’s worth trying to fix, how can I reattach the pole so it won’t snap at the base again?! I’m so annoyed!!

Yikes Tina! That doesn’t look safe! Luckily you weren’t hurt! Thank goodness.

Oh wow! I would not use that pole anymore!!! Be careful. The xstage is a great pole and will not come apart at the base. It’s good you’re ok! 💜

Safety first! I’ve got an X-Pert 45mm stainless steel pole on its way! I live in Queensland Australia so I went for stainless steel because it’s supposed to be good for humidity, but I still have terrible slippery palms! Hoping my grip will improve with training 😀 Thanks for your concern, looking forward to my upgrade arriving!

It looks like that was just attached with glue? Yeah, I would not feel safe on that even doing a spin! It was definitely NOT made for anything more than posing.
