X-Pole Alternative?
I need help!! So the studio I frequent has a problem with me video taping myself and uploading to Youtube. Keep in mind it’s during private pole practices when I’m the only one in the room about 95% of the time. In any event they’ve now enacted a "No Video Camera/Camera Phone" policy which really sucks for me since I use the vids to self correct and keep track of my progress. I’m really over it at this point and if I wasn’t paid up until May I’d never go back. I just feel like things were handled so badly.
Anywho, I need a pole at home ASAP (I finally go the twisted grip handspring and I can’t even record it!!) As much as I would LOVE to buy an X-Pole there are two problems, 1. I don’t really want to spend that much money right now and 2. I live in a basement apartment so my ceilings are only about 7ft high. I’m forced to find an alternative. What I found was a pole by Pole Aerobics (http://www.poleaerobicsworld.com/). It’s really cheap, portable and supports up to 220lbs without being permanently mounted. Also, the height goes from 7’2 to about 8’6. I haven’t found many reviews but the ones I found I suspect weren’t by hardcore folks like the ladies on Studio Veena https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif The one thing that was mentioned more than once was that the pole unlocks and shortens and falls over when you spin against it, but I’m not sure how much of a problem this would be for me since it would be on the lowest possible height due to my ceilings.
So ladies HELP!!
Have any of you ever used this pole or do you have one?
If so, how was/is it?
Do you think I should go for it?
If not, what do you suggest as an alternative? Thanks in advance!!
