  • X-Pole and vaulted ceiling?

Posted by Mindy4pole on November 12, 2009 at 6:52 am

Hey guys — One of my friends moved fairly recently, and her new place has almost all vaulted ceilings. The one flat ceiling is less than 8′ tall. So, she put the pole up on the flat ceiling, but said it was really hard to practice with so little room.

Is there any way to get an X-Pole to work with vaulted ceilings? I thought I remembered folks talking about this once, but I can’t seem to find the thread.

    Thanks so much!
    Mindy

Currently X-pole does not offer vaulted ceiling adapters…but I spoke with them a few weeks ago and the vaulted ceiling adapter is in the works….without an adapter I have no suggestions as how to rig it…I’m sure if there’s a will there’s a way!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

I noticed this tread and it is an older one but couldn't resist.

Charley, do the PS Vaulted Ceiling Adapters really work with Xpoles?

X-pole does have their own vaulted ceiling mount now.

Thanks! I am aware of their mount. Spoke with their reps and due to my joists I am unable to use it without modification to the joist and due to my attic that room is not accessible to reinforce the joist. I love my X’s! Looking for brass finish and single piece pole.

My main curiosity was if the PS mount was Xpole compatible since my joist does accommodate a PS mount and I have X poles.

If you were to use an X-pole with our vaulted ceiling mount, we'd only be able to guarantee the quality and safety of the vaulted ceiling mount and not the pole.

We like to ensure quality and safety of the entire product, and do not recommend using another brand with our vaulted ceiling mount.

Mojavewolf, you can send us an email and we can sell you a vaulted mount. I have 2 and love them, makes putting up your pole super easy!!!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif You should also be able to find the x pole vaulted mount on the x pole website.

So the vaulted mount is the only thing that gets screwed in permanently, right? Other than that, X-pole set up should be the same? We just bought a house with vaulted ceilings, too! And is that something I should be able to do myself fairly easily? I assume I'd need a studfinder to locate the beam and drill right into it, yes?

Yes, Katastrophe everything is the same, just the top is screwed in. Yes you need to find the beam and drill into that. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

How much is the mount Veena?? I will buy it from you..I still need to get a pole to…But Thanks to this site,I know what I need…I found an xpole ..not sure if they are the same, she has an extreme x pole for 200.00 never used…But I might just get one from you and pay the extra if I can..Safety first…I am just anxious to get started!! and so happy I found this site..So Veena let me know what the mount cost..Thanks!! and is the extreme pole and x pole the same??

I think about 80 for the mount, I'd have to look it up. The extreme is the spinning pole, the sport does not have spin mode. Send us an email using the contact link and we can help you out! 🙂
