I read elsewhere and wanted to pass this story on.

Someone had allowed the XJoint to turn out of joint inside the pole without correcting it since she was not taking her pole down all the time. So she just ignored it and allowed it to stay out of alignment.

Because it was out of alignment she could not see what was happening and the joint wound up slipping DOWN inside the pole so that only a couple of inches was still inside the upper extension. If she hadn’t found it it probably would have continued to slide further down until the pole came apart.

Once the joint begins to slip – PLEASE do not continue to use it and fix it immediately! Additionally it’s an easier fix if you take care of it right away!

Thanks for that… On of my tubes has slipped around the xjoint so I can’t get them apart, just checked there and the lower one is still aligned, so im OK, for now!
