I just got my pole in November and I'm in love with it. Only problem is:

    1) I'm missing the hex screws that take the pole from static to spin mode

    2) The 3 hex screw that are used to take the pole up and down, stick out slightly, and cut me :[

I read on X-Poles site that its the new and improved X-Pole with X-Joint technology. Don't really know if thats relevant to the topic, but I felt you should know. Lol.

I was sure to keep everything from the box in order while setting it up, and never saw the additional hex screws. I went to Home Depot to see if they had them, and they did, but not the right size. I looked online to see if I can buy them anywhere, but so far no luck.

Spin mode is fun and all, but from some of the trickier moves I'd like to start attempting, I'd like it to be on static mode so I don't go flying across the room and bang my head or something. Lol

    Thanks!

    Hey Nikki –

It's possible that x pole accidentally sent you the screws meant for a different pole. Did you get the 45mm pole? If so, maybe they accidentally sent you the screws ment for the 50mm, which are longer. That  would make sense that they would stick out. That being said, the SHOULD NOT stick out. In fact, they should be in slightly. You need to contact x pole and tell them both your issues. I'm sure they'll send you new sets of screws. You might want to ask them the sizes as well (or get an extra pair.) They can strip and it's handy to have an extra set lying around (just in case.)

    I hope that helps.

Is your pole on spin mode right now?

Sorry, just saw that you said it was on spin! Disregard my last comment! Good luck getting the screws :o)

When I first got my pole, the screws were sticking out, I examined what I was doing, and I wasn't screwing them down to the flat spots, they were sticking out because they were on the threading. So if they aren't the wrong length, maybe check that out. As for missing screws for static and spinny, get them to send you some screws, they should be able to do that…. Good luck!

Im confused. Why cant you change it from spinning to static? There are only two screws down there? I had the same problem by not screwing them on the flat surface either btw. I have the same pole.

From what I understand of the OP, she never received the two screws to lock the pole into static, so its always on spinny mode….

If you are missing screws your mest bet will be to simply call X-Pole.

Call Kimara.  You should have done this the first thing when you got the pole and realized they were missing.

I am unsure of these other scerws you are talking about.  Shouldn't they be under the cover?  The three that are above the cover plate should never be adjusted.  I beleive these are what is used to keep the A pole and threaded pieces together.  As others have said, this is probably an alignment issue.

The hex screws themsleves are difficult to find in any hardware shop….trust me, I tried to find some for the stages.  You are still under your warranty period so getting them should be a non-issue.

BTW, Kimara is on EST so you can call starting at 8am your time.

I was told the exact opposite (by Xpole) Chemgoddess. NOT to adjust the two screws under the plate cover without talking to X pole. Loosen three screws above plate cover to adjust up and down and rescrew when extension is achieved, put cover back up. I only had to adjust the screws under the cover when it became twisted causing problems (you were on that thread with me about a month ago) I was told it was the two screws in the base peice that kept it threaded to the A pole. Hrm…..

Mine is the one where the cover is just above the base, it unscrews, drops down revealing threading, undo 3 screws, twist to extension, tighten 3 screws, replace cover. Its not the weird "adjuster rod" thing I see in one of the manuals.

Ok, so the 3 screws that I am thinking about are under the cover.  These are the 3 that are used for extending the pole, as the original poster stated.  These should be under the cover so I am having a really hard time understanding how these are sticking out and cutting her feet.

"2) The 3 hex screw that are used to take the pole up and down, stick out slightly, and cut me :["

Not sure what the plate cover is.  I am at work and having a hard time picturing this in my head.  I thought there were a few screws that sat right above the adjuster cover that were not supposed to get adjusted and the 3 that are under the cover (that must be seated in the channels of the grooves) are the ones that allow you to make the pole go up and down.  Am I not remembering something correctly?

Mine aren't under the cover, mine are just above where the cover screws up to finish the pole. When lined with the flat spots, they screw all the way in. When not, they stick out of the pole itself. On my pole, under the cover only has two screws, one just above the other, and those are the two screws that should stay in place at all times (as understood by me when xpole CS was assisting me) Picture hunting…
