Gotta roll with it? My B pole is stripped where the x-joint is supposed to lock (tiny circle in the middle) so needless to say…..my x-joint is constantly twisting and I have to pound it out. So my question is this……is the pole ruined and is me using it with the twisted joint a waste? Pole works perfectly fine on static and spin…..just twisted joint. I don’t separate it anymore when I take it down. I remove the dome and top extension and leave it as one whole piece when I put it away. I really can’t afford to purchase a new pole right now so I’m hoping that this just means my pole is perfectly, not-so-perfect and still has plenty of life.

If you don't care about ever taking it apart or selling it, its fine. But if you do, all you have to do is buy a new x-joint and b pole. I think it adds to around $40 or $50 and you can always ask x-pole if they have a used b-pole for sale. I had the same problem but I fixed it by flipping my b pole upside down. My x-joint will still rotate a little but its like a millimeter or two. If the joint isn't that worn, this will work.

Mine is a little bent too has been for awhile but my pole still works fine. I just try not to take my pole down that often…I plan on replacing that piece eventually though.

I would get a new X joint which are like $20.  Check to see if a studio near you is a seller and you can get a discount.  The divot can be patched temporarily with a little JB weld or a similar type of epoxy.  How old is your pole?  I know that they have a 6 month warranty (I believe) and if you have the old style XJoints I would replace them anyway.

It’s older than 6 mos…..I purchased it second-hand. That little divet on the inside of the pole is stripped so I would def needed a new pole piece and not sure if it is the new x joint or older ones since I did get it resold

I have pics in my profile of the new vs old.  The new are actually screws that set the height of the pin whereas the old ones were just a pressure pin.

Is this the pole you got from me? It was purchased in April of 2011. I think they've tweeked a few things about design but I think they are the same x joints going out with new poles. I was thinking the same as Chem, maybe you could patch or fill where its allowing the xjoint to turn.
