So my wonderful, wonderful boyfriend bought me an X Stage Lite for my birthday. And it's shiny and new, and I love it.

    But I have a problem.

The ceilings in my boyfriend's apartment are too low. -headdesk-

I'm willing to work around this tragedy. I want to take the pole to a park. Does anyone here in the US know the laws about parks? Will people get mad and report me or something? Ya think they'll go out of their way to make trouble? Are they legally allowed to? As long as I'm fully dressed, I don't see how they could….

Anyhoot. Input appreciated. As well as other pole-friendly location suggestions.

Parks are a city issue, so call the city and ask them.

Of course people will get mad and report you, but if you are told you are allowed to do it, then they cannot do anything. People are allowed to do bellydance, spin poi, ride bikes, roller skate, ride bikes, street perform, preach, etc in parks, so I don't think there will be aproblem.

i think it depends on the park esp here in atlanta.  i know skittles is tryin to organize a pole in the park day, you should hit her on fb and see if she found out any info about if she could or couldnt or it had to be a certain place or whatnot.  either way you know im down to be azz out in public lol, we may even get some tips too hahaha :p

As long as you don’t go where there are lots of kids with uptight parents you should not have issues. You can also cut B pole down….and muffler shop or machine shop can do it for you. There just a cap on the top that is easily removed.

Or you can buy a shorter extension for the B section. They are only about $30.

I would highly suggest just purchasing the shorter extension.  ALL of the X-pole extensions fit the XSL.

I have one and I bought the extra extensions so that I could use the pole in my house, works like a charm.

My XSL can go 8,9 or 10 feet.  I don't think it's good to cut the top off because you never know when you'll be able to use the whole top and if you cut it off it won't fit any of the extensions because it won't have holes for the x-joint.  I'm guessing replacing the top piece of the pole would be expensive too.  Just sit on it and get an extension 🙂
